Hidden Valley Yurts

A small family run yurt campsite with 5 authentic Mongolian yurts nestled into a hidden valley in the heart of the Wye Valley area of outstanding natural beauty. This is a rare opportunity to leave behind the stresses of life and spend a few days relaxing in total peace - no car noise, no industry, just the sound of the brook and the calls of the birds (apart from the sheep who do sometimes bleat quite loudly - but we are trying to re-train them!). As well as the peace, this holiday is about all the best that camping offers - with none of the pain - you don't have to put your tent up, the yurts are felt lined so warm and cosy when it's cold but lovely and cool when the South facing site basks in sun - each yurt has a woodburning stove, a mix of king size beds, day beds and futons and there is a communal building, made from timber grown on the farm, which houses the kitchen, loos, showers and bath - there is even a dishwasher so no arguing with the kids about the washing up. There are alpacs and Jacob sheep to watch, a stream to dam, a campfire to build, starwatching to die for and miles and miles of footpaths to walk on.

If you can bear to tear yourself away, we are just half an hour from the Brecon Beacons, the Forest of Dean, the River Wye for canoeing, climbing, horse riding, mountain biking, superb restaurants and gastro pubs, Chepstow, Abergavenny and Monmouth towns.
