We believe that Beeches Farm Campsite is unique and very special. You can camp with breathtaking views across the Wye Valley of 'God’s own land' (as the old saying goes about Wales), or somewhere secluded and wild.

The ancient Forest of Dean surrounds our campsite with its towering magical trees. Where there are fantastic walks along Offa’s Dyke to the Devil’s Pulpit with spectacular views out to the ruins of Tintern Abbey, and the site itself is steeped in history.

Unusually we do allow fires in our stone circle firepits, making it cosy to camp and sit outside of an evening especially in the early spring and autumn. The staff are keen and green so there are recycling bins for cans, glass, plastic bottles and cardboard on-site too - leave no trace.

Liked: Location - went to climb at Wintour's Leap but weather forced change of plans. Excellent mountain biking nearby in Forest of Dean and walking on abundance of local paths. Pub at Tintern serves good food and beer. Indian take-aways delivered to site. Camp fires, with logs available from site office. Cheerful staff. Clean facilities.

Disliked: Only 2 showers for males - not enough for a busy site during a hot spell (but OK during our trip).

Liked: Location - fantastic views across the Wye Valley. Facilities - clean and pleasant to use.
Staff - very helpful and friendly. Excellent access for climbing (Wintours Leap etc), walking (Offas Dyke etc) and mountain biking (Forest of Dean etc). Stayed at the old Madgett's Farm site many times in the past - our first visit to its reincarnation as Beeches Farm - what an improvement!

Disliked: There were a lot of small children staying and they were quite noisy even though we were camped some distance away.

Liked: Location is great, beautiful scenery. Friendly staff that bring round bags of wood so you can have fires. Big bag for £2.50.

This has become one of my favourite campsites.

Disliked: Woken up very early in the morning by children running around playing! Make sure you do not camp near the swing under the big tree.
