Not a bad site, tent pitches could be better though andrewwood10297701 (Solo traveller-male, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The situation, scenery, decent clean facilities, friendly staff and a coffee/pizza shop that is open til 8pm. Good launchpad for forest walks and access to Arrochar and the cobbler. Disliked: Right next to a very busy road. If youve got kids you'd have to keep an eye on em, the traffic flies past. Not many great pitches for tents, the scenic pitches by the loch are either taken, on hilly, lumpy ground or in the trees- midge havens. The other pitches are in the middle of the site and pretty unspectacular. I felt that it was a bit expensive for a single person to ... |

We won't be going back. Tizilizi (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The view over Loch Long was lovely. Disliked: There was no enforcement of their tent policy of pitching 3 metres apart. Loud shouting and sweating into the early hours of the morning by a group of campers. Emergency phone which they give out just goes to an answering machine. Staff dismissive of complaint the following day. |

Can't wait to go back Ron (Mature couple, 2 reviews, 0 photos)
Liked: The site, the view, the staff. Had a great time, pity about the weather. Hired a fishing rod for a few £s and caught a few fish. Nice wee shop on site too, they do a fab coffee. The site now has a children's play area, cabins nearly finished. A lot of work has been done. Will be going back again this year Disliked: The weather ... but hey it is dry in the tent |
