With a charming coastline, comely castles, city lights, cultural attractions and championship golf courses on your doorstep, your only complaint will be how on earth to deeside what to do first... Deeside Holiday Park is a brilliant spot for discovering the dramatic landscapes of Royal Deeside and north-east Scotland, and the vibrant city of Aberdeen (just six miles away).

All pitches benefit from peaceful, leafy surroundings and the relaxed, friendly vibe at this family-run site.

There’s a games room, children’s playground and dog-walking area, a well-equipped laundry and a spacious, heated block housing the showers, WCs, and baby-changing. New for 2013 are family rooms, campers kitchen & TV lounge/dining area. If you fancy eating out, you’ll find a pub right next door, or it’s an easy walk to several more cafés and restaurants; a handful of takeaways also deliver to the park.

Nearby attractions and activities

Not for nothing is Deeside the favourite summer stomping ground of the royal family: it’s an area rich in culture and history, and the scenery is breathtaking.

From Deeside Holiday Park, you’ll find it easy to reach all the top attractions: follow the castle trail to visit Balmoral, as well as other gems such as Crathes, Dunnottar or Castle Fraser; ramble around the ancient recumbent stone circles sprinkled across the countryside; or make the short drive into the “granite city” of Aberdeen to the maritime museum or the art gallery, or to make the most of the excellent shopping and restaurants.

It is, of course, whisky a go go in this part of the world, so it would be rude not to support the local industry with a tour of one (or several) of the many distinguished distilleries nearby, many in picturesque settings.

If needed, you can clear your head with some walking, cycling or horse-riding, or hit the River Dee for kayaking, canoeing or fishing; and, given the number of excellent golf courses in the area, there’s no chance of the golfers in your party getting teed off...

Liked: Family shower block lovely & very clean.
Attentive staff.
Well maintained site.
Lovely setting.
Boys (age 2 & 6) liked the play park & games room.

Disliked: Pitch could've been more level.
Also expected bigger pitch (awning half on hard standing/half on grass between pitches)

From the manager...

Thank you for taking the time to review Deeside Holiday Park.

We are delighted you liked the park and hope you enjoyed your stay with us. Unfortunately, some of our grass pitches are slightly wet due to the amount of rain we have experienced this Summer. We are considering more drainage to improve this.

We hope to see you back again and hopefully when it's better weather!

Liked: The shower facilities were good nice and clean too. Parking was excellent and great places to walk your dog.

Disliked: Although the road running adjacent at the back of the park is a private road, there was quite a bit of activity with young boy racers... ok if you were in a caravan but not the best in a tent. There is different parts of the site though for pitching a tent.

Thank you for reviewing our park at Deeside.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and felt the facilities were up to a good standard.

We are sorry that you experienced problems from the private road behind us. This road is only used for access to 3 houses and we have never had problems in the past. We can assure you that our wardens will monitor this in the future.

We hope to see you back at Deeside in the future.

Thank you for your feedback on our holiday park at Deeside. Cleanliness is of high importance to us and we are delighted that we met your expectations.

We are close to Aberdeen and nearby amenities, therefore a little noise is unavoidable from the nearby road.

We appreciate all feedback and will take your comments into consideration.
