Not a place for tent camping

Liked: May be good for motorhomes and caravans but beware if you're in a tent.

Disliked: We arrived at Castle Archdale and for being on the lough, I was surprised not to be able to see the lough at all.
There were many caravans blocking the view and it looked like a trailer park.
We went in to ask the girl working there about camping as we decided we had driven so far to get there to turn back. It was 20 pounds... steep for only two people I thought.

Would not recommend this site unless you like a mud bath

Liked: The scenery and the forest walks.

Disliked: Camping in a mudbath which was totally unnecessary. We are well prepared for rain as we are used to camping in all weathers, however if the management did not pack tourers in like sardines and were to pay some attention to the drainage on the site, it would spare a lot of discomfort to campers who only want to have a short holiday. We left early as we could no longer risk the safety of ...

Liked: This is a real beautiful place: my partner and I go there to escape from our busy lives - it's so peaceful. The marina is just two minutes' walk from the pitches, with all the walk ways you would like, bike hire, boat hire, there's a park for the kids a shop and takeaway and restaurant on site, the showers are clean. I really recommed Castle Archdale to everyone.

Disliked: Not much
