Main campsite maybe ok, but wouldn't stay in the Paddock again Sarah S. (With friends, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: 3 Toilets & 2 showers (in the ladies block) were clean and there was plenty of hot water. Disliked: We were put in the paddock field - presumably because we did not want electric hookup. So the following problems may not have been so bad in the main campsite! None of these things could be prevented by the campsite owners, but maybe this particular field isn't suitable for tents! |

Amazing campsite - a breath of fresh air crazycat (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The campsite was spotless at all times, as were the facilities. It's a peaceful little campsite surrounded with gorgeous views that really take the breath away. Plenty of space to roam around and adventure and not too far from shopping, pubs, etc. if needs be. The owners were massively helpful and very friendly. The facilities offered everything we needed and prices were extremely reasonable for peak season. Disliked: You can hear the occasional car go past but that really is it and it doesn't detract from the caravan park whatsoever!

Thank you for your review. We welcome constructive criticism to allow us to improve our business. We apologize that you didn't enjoy your stay in the "overflow paddock", you were put in there simply because we were fully booked and we run a first come first serve base's depending on when you booked. If the campsite was quieter you would have been more than welcome to have gone down on the main site!
1) Its not a quarry next door but a skip hire so you may hear the occasional HGV vehicles passing but you won't hear any quarry explosions or heavy plant machinery.
2) I do have to admit the smell was particularly bad as the broiler chicken on the farm needed fans on and off to get them use to the outside temperature because they where being re sited. The smell also came from the muck being removed from the chicken house but this is only done once during the caravan season, so you were particularly unlucky to be staying on site at that time!
We are a very small, family run, caravan park (Mother & Daughter): a receptionist and one on site employee hence not really seeing anyone else! This is a laid back campsite allowing people space to enjoy there time here, we apologize if that came across as not being overly friendly!
Thank you for your visit :)
