Merley Court Touring Park in Wimborne, Dorset is widely recognised as one of the finest and best equipped touring parks in Britain.

We welcome touring caravans, motor caravans and tents and maintain high standards of quality, ensuring a happy and memorable family holiday. The park boasts award winning-pitches and a comprehensive range of facilities.

Merley Court is noted for its peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. It is set in 10 acres of level and well sheltered grassland, with five acres of woodland.

The park has been carefully planned and landscaped. Our generous well-drained pitches are all individually marked and numbered. We have numerous hardstandings and several all-service pitches, each with individual water taps, waste water and drainage.

There is an outdoor pool open during the summer months, a bar and family room serving meals, games room and a children's play park. In addition guests can use the comprehensive facilities at Oakdene seven miles away which now includes Go Active's more than 20 on-site activities - chargeable from £2 per person (you can pre-book after making your booking).

Liked: The toilet and shower facilities were immaculate, and the pitches were tidy and clean. I was amazed at the shop, which sold all sorts of useful things, and the welcome was warm and friendly.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Generous sized pitches with a certain degree of privacy set in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Toilets and showers very good and the washing up rooms were the best I've seen. Immaculately kept site with very friendly helpfull staff. Will definitely visit again.

Disliked: Nothing, "happy campers".

Liked: We stayed in 1 tent pitch, 1 caravan pitch and booked a eurotent as well. The eurotent was dated but functional. Great tent/caravan shop next door. Onsite entertainment.

Disliked: The other pitches were small but close to the toilet facilities. The site was very busy so the toilets were basically swimming in dirt. The 11pm quiet time was not adhered to and travelling with young children we had a hard time settling them as large groups were allowed to party long into the night. This site is based on the main roundabout and at peak times there is a permanent traffic jam over it ...

Liked: We liked everything about the site. Music in the shower block was very relaxing.

Disliked: The shower block which we used could do with a shower curtain in the cubicle as your clothes ge a little wet from the spray.
The bar was closed on Sunday with no prior notice.

Liked: Quiet site, value for money. the shop was very well priced with everything you could need. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The toilet block is spotless and the showers are home from home !! The manageress was willing to cook a bacon butty even though the food service had ended :)

Disliked: Not that this was anything to do with the establishment, I could not understand why more people were not using the bar area ! It was clean & reasonably priced with a good selection of drinks and snacks.

Liked: The campsite as a whole. The swimming pool was enjoyed by the children, the toilet and shower facilities were always immaculate as were the dishwashing areas.

The pitches were also a decent size.

The camp site had a shop within the grounds as well as a pub!

Disliked: There seemed to be a layer of stones a few cm beneath the top grass layer which resulted in several bent tent pegs (our neighbour also experienced this).

The 10am leaving deadline felt a bit of a push for a tent pitch given there will be virtually nothing to do once we had left (ie no chalets to clean etc).

I wish the pub did proper pub food as opposed to pub snacks.

I wish ...

Liked: We stayed in pitch 145, which had an electrical hook-up. Pitch size was big enough to easily accommodate a 6.5 m x 5.5 m family tent and car. Even though the site was totally rammed, there was plenty of space and services were well maintained. Grass was in good condition and tarmac roads were in good repair. Pitch boundary was clearly marked. Entry to the site was controlled by a key card which ...

Disliked: We had no problems and would use this site again.
