Liked: Lovely site, simple and small. Very tidy, and horses to watch! Busy road nearby, but not an issue. Nice place.

Disliked: Temporary showers and toilets! They are mentioned in previous reviews, so we knew to expect them. Others have said they were clean, in my experience they were not for the 3 days we were there. And there were only 4 parties camping. No lights is not helpful, and we tried all off the cubicles daily in the hope water would be present. It never was - not good when camping with kids. People resorted to wash ...

Liked: The friendliness and helpfullness of the owners, even put wet wellies in their drying room for us. Level site, plenty of space, and very clean. A very nice village pub convieniently just up the road! We stayed for 9 nights, including the bank holiday which did get busier but still plenty of room for everyone. There were 2 showers and 5 toilets (not 3) which were kept as clean as possible,I learnt to open ...

Disliked: None other than having to say bye to Ringo the beetle who decided to share our awning!

Liked: The family that ran the site were extremely friendly and helpful.
The bins and toilets were cleaned regularly.
Reasonably priced
Good location
Very welcoming of dogs

We would definately use the site again and improved/ non temporary toilets and showers would make it even better

Disliked: Temporary showers did not work well
Although the temporary toilets were cleaned regularly they still weren't great.

These are issues that the site owners are well aware of and have plans to sort.

Liked: Lovely warm welcome on arrival and free to pitch wherever.

Site is well kept and other campers nice and quiet.

Good location and few minutes walk from a nice pub for if it rains!

Toilets and showers are portaloos but we knew this before we booked so it was not an issue for us.

Liked: Clean field with local pub.. it served our purpose. It was close to where we needed to be and the pub was lovely and just a short walk away... we will return as it is in the vicinity we need it to be but would not stay for longer than one or two nights as I need a proper loo and a shower block .. I know I am a wet lettuce!!!

Disliked: As everyone else has said the loos were a downside.. they were clean and tidy and the owners did their utmost to keep them as such and were a nice bunch to deal with...

Liked: Really friendly & helpfull owners, you can have a camp fire, although I expect this will change next session, decent pub nearby, easy access to Wimbourne village with lots of resturaunts

Disliked: No shower & toilet block, they have 4 x Porta Loos and 2 x Porta showers which were tricky to get hot water from, the owners did keep the porta loos clean as best they could, they advertise 40 tent pitches, if they did have full capacity those temp toilets and showers are no way enough, Terrible road noise from the A31,big lorries all through the night, the field is right on it, not enough ...

Liked: The atmosphere was great & the pitching area was large and very well looked after.

The nearest pub was only a 2 minute walk down the road and you can easily get to Wimbourne town centre from the campsite.

The owners were friendly and helpful & everything was explained fast & simply.

The bins were also kept clean, being taken out regularly.

Disliked: The temporary showers & toilets; the toilets needed cleaning/airing out more often than they did as they really started to smell on the second day & we had to go to the pub to go to the toilet.

The showers also had no discernable temperature dial, so we were stuck with either freezing cold or unbearably hot.

However I'm sure both of these problems would be solved with a new shower/toilet block .. :>

Liked: Very friendly helpful owners
Lovely flat site with plenty of space for kids to just run about and play.
Facilities although limited were always immaculate. However could do with a sensible size clothes hook in the porta shower - had to stuff my towel through the gap in the door! Great central location.

Disliked: Noise of A31 mainly because of gear change on approach to roundabout. However the map clearly indicates the site so this is not a complaint !

Liked: Attractive field/ campsite with a great pub very close by. Location was easy to get to and find.

Disliked: There were three porta loos and two porta loo showers which only ever seemed to have cold water. For the number of people camping over the weekend, facilities were a little sparse and basic and the water to wash hands didn't work in the loos. An extra clean through out the day wouldn't have gone a miss either!

Liked: The site was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The location was great for us a short bike ride and we were in Wimborne town centre and was very close to Poole, Bornemouth, Ringwood and Dorchester by car. The toilet and shower facilities were very basic but very clean but we expected this when booking a £14 a night pitch. Overall very good value for money we will definitely return. Aaron (Weymouth)

Disliked: Used the pub just up the road for lunch which was a very nice country pub but had to wait over an hour for our food.

Liked: The horses on the camping field.
The kids liked the owners cat that came to visit us.
The owners were friendly and helpful.
There was lots of soft grass to pitch up on.
There is a good pub and really good town 2-5 minutes down the road.

Disliked: porta loos with stagnent water in the tap.
gas powered porta showers that never got warm and did not drain. there was no space to hang anything if you did brave the ice shower so clothes were wet.
There was no where to wash up.
The camping is next to a very busy road so you hear traffic all night and theres lots of street lighting.

Liked: The site's friendly hospitable approach. The owner and his team were happy to secure campers the best pitch with options for caravaners and campers to plug-in.
There were several couples and family groups taking advantage of this clean and well-run camp site. It is on the main bus route from Poole to Wimborne making it easy to locate and move around the area. There are views of nearby Wimborne Minster on site.

Disliked: Toilet and shower facilities were supplied as 'temporary'. This, however, did not affect the pragmatic and functional nature of the port-a-loos or the regular cleaning regime effected by the team.

Liked: The location was perfect for what we wanted, we stayed for 3 nights the boys had a fantastic time aged 3,4 and 12. It is a no frills campsite as they advertise - this is reflected in the great pricing - too many people expect ...

Liked: I liked the fact I only stayed one night.
I would like the owner's of campsite to camp themselves.
I would like to mention not suitable for young children, elderly or disabled with present loo/shower facilities, especially if camping. If in caravan with electric hook-up, wouldn't be so bad.

Disliked: It was off a main road, noisy traffic. No security - in a large corner plot of owner's garden. No purpose built toilet or showers. Two portaloo's, two portable showers with no lighting. No sinks for washing up, just a hose pipe! Bins needed emptying.
For campers in tents very basic campsite

We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay, we state in our listing we are a basic campsite, but we are immaculately clean, and have had other reviews to back this up.

We are a new campsite and have already added to our toilet/shower facilities and added lighting, the campsite is based in a 5 acre field plus horse paddocks not part of a garden. We feel our location is brilliant being on the doorstep of so many wonderful attractions. Thank you.
