Stayed here as a last resort, will not be going back. antoniamcgall (Family with young children, 5 reviews, 0 photos)
Liked: Landscaping- there were wild hedgerows and lots of secret feeling fields and clearings to tuck yourself away in but pick wisely, not near the bar or pool if you want a quiet time. Disliked: They had let a huge group of people pitch in a big circle, partly over the first pitch we were given and they were not going to move for us. |

Beautiful site spoiled by disregard Jammer (Family with young children, 2 reviews, 0 photos)
Liked: Well-equipped shop, free showers, enough sinks to service a large number of campers at a time and...a free hair-dryer! A basic bar which is great if you don't have any high expectations and all you want is a drink and a chat without driving off site. Mini adventure playground for the kids. It is in fact a beautiful site with many nooks and crannies for campers to tuck themselves away: we will do ... Disliked: Toilet block that could have benefited from a touch more cleaning: human faeces spread on cubicle walls is not a good sign. A couple of times there was no toilet paper. Too many sinks had no plugs! Some kids were too boisterous and quite rough - a bit like camping on a football pitch. At one point there were no less than three separate groups of lads playing football at once in our field (Top Meadow ... |

Good facilities, friendly, a bit untidy in places, but essential ok. MatthewJHYates (Mature couple, 2 reviews, 0 photos)
Liked: We stayed on an un-serviced pitch called Top Meadow. This was pretty much an area of grass and you pitched wherever you wanted. The site was very busy, and services did slip a bit in that the toilets needed more than the twice daily cleaning. The showers were spacious, Grass was in good condition where we were. The tracks around the site were ok. Camp centre was excellent with a bar, a games room and ... Disliked: Pitches were not clearly defined on our area of the site. Fortunately there were few people there, so we had no problems with others pitching too close to us. Showers were not brilliant in that pressure was poor and there was no temperature control. Grass coverage was poor on some areas of the site and nothing more than compacted soil in places. |
