Wake up to fresh bread and pain au chocolat, with Dartmoor as your back garden, in the serene grounds of Langstone Manor Holiday Park.
This friendly site offers cosy camping pods with sheltered decks and fab views, plus immaculate showers, loos and laundry facilities.
The Langstone Bar in the manor house is always toasty thanks to its wood-burning stove, and its dining room dishes up reasonably priced, hearty fare. There’s also a games room with pool table, air hockey and table football.
Nearby attractions and activities
Holidaymakers can amble or pedal straight onto the moors from here, and it only takes a few minutes to scramble to the summit of Pew Tor, which enjoys views for miles around.
As well as the wealth of hiking and biking routes in the area, there are centres for horse riding, canoeing and climbing on Dartmoor, to help visitors make the most of the spectacular landscapes. If you’re feeling brave, you can even go wild swimming...although you may prefer to hop over the border to Cornwall’s beautiful beaches to go swimming or surfing.
Ten minutes from Langstone Manor is the market town of Tavistock, where there are regular farmers markets, a cinema and an indoor swimming pool (with water slides and children’s pool).
For National Trustees, the imposing granite crenellations of Castle Drogo are worth a visit; this Lutyens-designed castle was the last ever built in England, and has lovely gardens and a picturesque outlook over the Teign Gorge. The dramatic waterfalls and ancient woodlands of Lydford Gorge (the deepest gorge in the South West) are not to be missed either, as long as you don’t mind a bit of strenuous walking, or getting your feet wet!
Rainy day suggestions include Plymouth, home to the UK’s biggest aquarium, or an exit to Exeter, a charming cathedral city bristling with shops and things to do.

Small, friendly, quiet site away from it all Carol J. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: I liked everything about this site - on arrival we were welcomed and shown to our pitch that was large enough for the caravan, awning and car. The touring pitches were well laid out and amenties first class. Dishwashing; laundry; showers and toilets facilities were excellent. The whole site was well kept in beautiful surroundings and I loved that everything was environmentally friendly. Disliked: Only having to come a short distance from home we took the Horrabridge route - I wouldn't recommend it. Follow the instructions given by the site. |

Liked: The staff were all friendly and helpful. The toilets, showers and bathrooms are very high standard, a lot better than many sites we have stayed at. The bar and lounge had a really nice, relaxed atmosphere and some toys that my six year old thought were wonderful. We ate in the bar on one occasion and found the food very tasty. The children's play area is very good too. The location made it easy ... Disliked: There wasn't anything I disliked at all, we really enjoyed staying there. |

Perfect for a break away in the country! meganletts (Young couple, 1 review, 1 photo)
Liked: The whole set up of the site was great, the facilities were great and the different sections of the camp were well arranged with plenty of parking right next to your own "pitch". Unfortunately we chose the worst time to go as the weather was awful! Wind, Rain and Freezing cold! We stayed in one of the "pods" they have on offer and with the heater and good insulation, we were warm and cosy in ... Disliked: None to report! :-) |

Loved it even in the Moorland fog. Verity G. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Showers/dish washing facilities were the best we have had on a campsite and the pod was a pleasure to return to after day trips out in the rain. Definitely worth trying out as an alternative to a tent in the wet Autumn months! Disliked: None |

One of the best sites i have been on. Wendy A. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The team of people who run the site are very friendly, and work hard to make sure you have a good holiday. This site is one of the most Dog friendly sites i have been to, even to the extent of supplying 'doggy' pooh bags! The are lots of great walks direct from the site, so no need to keep getting in your vehicle once you pitched up. But if you want to go futher ... Disliked: Nothing disliked. |

Liked: Everything! We stayed during poor weather but you would never know in the lovely camping pod! We put the heater on before we left to go out for something to eat and when we returned the pod was so cosy! The campsite is in a wonderful area, so many choices for places to eat, some within the "Good Pub Guide" with reasonable prices. Lovely staff, asked us how we were or simply said hello. The ... Awesome Dan73 (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: We’ve stayed in Static Caravan Parks in quite a few places across the UK and have enjoyed our stay each time. But this Park would have to be the best we have ever been to. We stayed at Langstone Manor Park over the Royal Wedding Weekend and had a fantastic time. It was clean and tidy with well kept lawns, trees and gardens. Although we stayed in a Caravan this time we also do ... Disliked: No wi fi. But no biggy. |

Fantastic site lizF (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: We have just returned from this wonderful site - I can't praise it highly enough. The best aspect is the peace and quiet - it is in a beautiful tranquil area of Dartmoor. We enjoyed walking locally on the moors and coming back to the on-site bar for a drink and a meal. Everywhere was very clean and well organised and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
