Bovisand Lodge is a small family run four-star beachside self catering holiday park on the south Devon Coast, with stunning sea views of Cornwall and the Plymouth Breakwater. There's also an indoor heated pool to enjoy.
Our luxury mobile holiday homes provide excellent self-catering rental accommodation for exploring the Devon and Cornwall coastline. All our accommodation is beautifully finished with double glazing and central heating throughout. Our accommodation is four-star, Rose Award winning and under four years of age, a sign of our commitment to quality and also the environment, with our David Bellamy Gold award.
Our beachside location in Devon is unique - an unspoilt wooded valley running down from the hills of Staddon Heights and opening onto a safe sandy beach overlooking the Plymouth Breakwater and the Cornish coast. From here you can walk along the Devon coastal path for miles and enjoy the spectacular views.
At the Bovisand Lodge Estate, which has been family run for over 50 years, there's no club or organised entertainment. We aim to have a quiet, happy environment that guests like to return to year after year. Generations of guests have enjoyed the peace and tranquillity and appreciate the quality environment which has made their stay memorable and special.

Our beachside self catering holiday park is only five minutes' drive from the Mount Batten Centre, where you can arrange almost any water sport including sailing and diving. From here it only takes four minutes by water taxi to the Barbican in Plymouth, where it is just a short walk to the city centre, shopping mall and University. From the Barbican you can organise boat trips around the Sound, to the twin villages of Kingsands and Cawsands as well as up the River Tamar to the Naval Dockyards and Royal Willam Yard.
Within one mile of Bovisand is Staddons Heights Golf Club with its panoramic views of Plymouth Sound and Cornwall - open to non-residents. The nearest riding stables are at Wembury, five miles away.
There are 24 beautiful trails within the Parish of Wembury alone, with the SW Coastal Footpath only a stone's throw from your accommodation.
Plymouth city centre by road is only seven miles away: here you will find a wide variety of excellent tourist attractions including the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Pavilions with a fabulous leisure pool and ice rink and The Plymouth Theatre Royal where London West End Shows often start their life. Plymouth University regularly has exhibitions within its Portland Square campus and the University Peninsula Arts has a comprehensive arts programme throughout the year.
If you are feeling adventurous, try the dry ski slope or toboggan run, open all year round. For a really special event, the annual Plymouth two-day fireworks display shouldn’t be missed.
The historical site of the Hoe should not be missed where Sir Francis Drake played his famous game of bowls whilst the Spanish Armada approached nor should the Barbican where you will find an assortment of cobbled streets with small rustic shops and fashionable restaurants - in this area you will also find the Plymouth Gin factory which arranges regular factory tours.
Bovisand is a perfect base for exploring the university city of Plymouth and the surrounding area.

Directions
Leave the A38 dual carriageway at Marsh Mills Junction.
Take A374 – Plymouth City Centre.
Exit A379 Kingsbridge.
Over long bridge then take the Plymstock exit.
Continue along Pomphlett Road, to traffic lights at crossroads.
Turn right into Dean Cross Road.
Through traffic lights signposted Turnchapel and Hooe.
Continue along this road not turning left or right for about 1.5 miles then bear left into Jennycliffe Lane.
Through one way system then up hill to Staddon Heights (pylons on hill), past golf course.
Second turning on right down hill signposted Fort Bovisand.
At car park do a U-turn and take lower road to Bovisand Lodge Estate.

Cancellation policy
Failure to pay the balance on time gives the company the right to re-let the holiday accommodation. Should the hirer have to cancel their holiday within this period and we cannot re-let the accommodation, subject to a doctor's certificate, the campsite will refund 50% of the balance.
If the campsite can re-let the accommodation the campsite will refund the full balance payment, less a £25 administration fee. Therefore, it is in your interest to advise the campsite as early as possible should you have to cancel your holiday.
Please note that your deposit paid to Pitchup.com is non-refundable.
Payment of balance
You will receive a confirmation letter upon receipt of your Pitchup.com booking and payment in full will be required one calendar month before arrival. If you're booking within the month, the balance of payment would be required as soon as possible. You will need to provide the names of the members of your party at this time.
