Welcome to Yurtcamp Devon. Set in 40 acres of woodland are 20 contemporary yurts. Most of the yurts are sited in small groups, and for those seeking greater solitude some are sited individually. All are sited in beautiful woodland settings with wonderful walks on your doorstep.

A short walk from your yurt is a new fresh clean amenity block with separate male, female and disabled facilities including toilets, hot showers, hair dryers and mirrors.

Few modern campsites allow any sort of fire but we love a crackling of a camp fire and the smell of wood smoke in the air: it is an essential part of the Yurtcamp experience. We positively encourage you to make a fire in one of our fire pits and enjoy the primal satisfaction it offers. Many a tale is told and memories made around the camp fire.

There is plenty to do at Yurtcamp with the emphasis in school holiday time on family fun with plenty of relaxation, plus our assurance that we operate a low impact, sustainable development with minimum use of non renewable energy sources.

We aim to operate a low-impact, sustainable development. We also have a woodland management programme and work has been carried out to enhance the bio diversity of the site including the provision of bird and bat boxes, as well as continued monitoring of the areas protected species. Yurtcamp is located on the edge and in an area of ancient woodland and as such is designated a county wildlife site due to wide variety of flora and fauna.

Directions

Get directions

Please use these directions as satellite navigation does not cope with the last two miles!

Take the M5 southbound to the end of the motorway. The road continues as the A38 in the direction of Plymouth. Approximately 12 miles along the A38 is the Drumbridges exit signed to Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracy, Stover and Liverton. At the roundabout take the third exit (signposted Liverton). Go straight on for approximately one mile and you will go over a large bridge. Immediately you have crossed the bridge take the left turn into Staplehill Road. 150 metres down on the right is YurtCamp.

Pull into the drive and the car park is straight ahead. Please park with the front or rear of your car at right angles to the fence.

Please park as economically as you reasonably can. The car park is big enough as long as cars are not parked taking up one and a half spaces.

You will see signs to our reception building where you can check in.

We strongly recommend that you use these directions as satellite navigation does not cope with the last two miles, whereas our directions makes finding us a piece of cake!

Please note: All distances on this page are calculated "as the crow flies" - please check actual distance depending on your mode of travel using the Get directions button above.
