Harford Bunkhouse and Camping is set on a working farm on the edge of South Dartmoor, just 1.25 miles from Ivybridge in Devon. Like many farmers these days we have diversified and operate the accommodation alongside our traditional farming.
Our campsite is divided between two of our meadows. Campers can use the well equipped kitchen and the showers/toilet block located within the camping barns buildings and small campfires and barbecues are allowed at our descretion. We have space for 20 tents and are open all year.
Nearby attractions and activities
We have lots of great pubs within a 30-minute walk in Ivybridge, as well as restaurants, shops and the ususal local amenities including public transport.
Harford Bunkhouse Campsite is also fantastic for kayaking and canoeing as we have a popular spot by the river very near so many keen kayakers love staying here.
We are in Dartmoor itself where there is a wealth of things to discover: from hiking and biking and the great outdoors, get on to the moor and just do. See Dartmoor ponies and nature at every turn, odd little Dartmoor villages, castles, culture, tradition and heaps of community spirit. Also, fishing and horse-riding are available amongst many other things.

Beautiful location, extremely helpful hosts melaniewebb10 (Young couple, 1 review, 3 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Great place to explore the moors and woods from. Lovely walks along the river and across the moors. Host was very helpful pointing out good places to go during different time/weather. Added charm of staying on a working farm. Disliked: I should have been more prepared for the walk into town. Only about 2 miles but mostly uphill on the way back (though they were kind enough to give us a lift to and from the train station) |

Liked: Nothing about it - stayed in a better campsite the night before for less than half the price with much better facilities. Disliked: Only one shower and one toilet |
