See all facilities…It’s an award winner, and it’s easy to see why – Devon’s Lady’s Mile near the Blue Flag beaches of Dawlish Warren has all that’s needed for ladies and gentlemen to pitch up. It’s had cracking reviews and full marks for location, cleanliness, facilities, customer service and more, and also has five-star scores for value for money.
And there’s more – Lady’s Mile also has an indoor and outdoor pool, an on-site restaurant, a bar, play area for the kids, evening entertainment to croon along to, a takeaway and even a fitness centre if you feel like working the calories off (or you could just decide to relax by the pool instead). The showers and bath on site are fit for even the most ladylike lady, and there’s also a parent and baby washroom to keep the holiday grub off the smaller campers. All this and wifi access too so you never have to be off the grid. Whether you’re off site during your stay is another matter, although there are two pubs within a mile so that might prove to be the motivation you need.
Nearby attractions and activities
Lady’s Mile is a site for the sea and sand lovers, as it’s only a mile from two beaches where you can surf, swim, sail or just laze and sunbathe. There’s also golf, fishing, horse-riding and tennis nearby, or you could indulge in a spot of culture and wander around the nearby National Trust properties A la Ronde and Compton Castle.
Want something a little more likely to appeal to the kids? Pack them in the car and take them off to Crealy Great Adventure Park a short drive away, where they can go gaga on the rides or go wild in the indoor jungle. They’ll also enjoy seeing the famous black swans along the Dawlish river, bumping along on the seafront railway, or just sticking close to the beach resort with its pirate-themed mini golf, go-karting, amusements and children’s rides.

Overall Excellent campsite Robert P. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Overall had a lovely time, approx 15 minute walk from the beach. Disliked: The only thing we would do diiferant is not to pitch as close to the toilet block and the doors banged. It was also on the main walk through so you were disturbed a little by other guests returning from the bar late at night. |

Liked: Booked online the night before. For my first ever camping trip with the family and dog, it was everything I expected. The weather was good, the facilities were good, clean everywhere. The staff the entertainment was all good. Your camp site pool manager even helped me with my electric hook up lead and everyone who works there are very helpful. The only thing I can comment on is I wish the breakfast menu had been ... Disliked: Just the breakfast board. |

ok Sylvia H. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: the pitches were great a good size and well light, the shop was good and well stocked, the pool was great, arcade good Disliked: The shower block was freezing and not enough of them in each block; they should have some form of heating in there . the electric was very dear 0n the pitches, and people should be asked to have a bit of respect for other caravaners when leaving the club late at night . |

Easter break David M. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: This a very clean camp, barrier at front of gate, good idea, pitches a great size and plenty of them, club was ok, camp shop good well stocked up, very polite and pleasant staff, seemed to have a lot going on, on the camp, great for the kids, my only complaint, which I meant to do whilst there was the toilets and mostly showers, they were ABSOLUTELY FREEZING COLD!! You could see your breath it ... Disliked: As above
From the manager...
Hi David, thank you for your comments. You're right it was an extremely cold Easter! especially compared to 2012! We have now installed heaters above the doors in the toilet/shower blocks to combat this problem. The amount of electric used on average per pitch is usually very minimum, however we did find that people were using a bit more electric than usual simply due to the running of household fan heaters due to the cold weather. We hope that the warmer weather and sunshine we are getting at the moment continues throughout the rest of the year, and hope to have you stay with us again. |

My 28th year coming and Still number 1 For holidays xxx cathym1984 (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The cleanliness of the site Disliked: only one downfall is strict security required, and a more firm approach to noise on site after a certain time, meaning tv's in caravans and people drinking etc, as it can be quite a pain.Possibly recruit security who focus on the fields, and ones to focus on the club house area... |

Overall we used this sure as a base to visit out and about which was ideal. The site isn't the kind of site we would choose and it has definitely put us off going to a big commercial site again. Some of the clientele leave something to desired I'm afraid. tonifrost311 (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The site staff are very helpful and are constantly cleaning and tidying the site. The pools are great for both weather eventualities. A good play area/adventure playground. A good base for south Devon visiting. A Sainsburys very near by. Very reasonably priced. Disliked: The site is huge and overwhelming. Our 6 year old struggled with the amount of children running here there and everywhere. We visited the clubhouse on the first night and felt it was in need of a refurb.. It's best described as a town centre Wetherspoons type venue. We didn't go again until the last night where we watched Holly Cosgrove who was great and we thought we were ending our holiday nicely ... |

Liked: The camp was generally tidy, and staff were seen cleaning and collecting litter regularly. Disliked: The site messed up my booking and said they were full. After traveling 6 hours this was a little stressful on arrival. It was only after showing them my confirmation email on my phone from pitch that they said they would honour the booking. I had paid the deposit but apparently I was meant to have two confirmations (a white one). |

Overall a disappointing stay Gerald H. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The indoor pool saved our sanity when it was raining (which was a lot!). It was a nice short walk to Dawlish Warren which is beautiful. Disliked: I found the campsite over-crowded and noisy. At the busiest time there were queues for the showers, no space to watch the children around the pool. Although good value for money you have to pay for electricity, wifi etc as extra. Reception staff did not seem to know much about the area and directed us to Exeter for everything! Not a criticism of the site but where dogs are allowed on the site, beware, they ... |

Liked: Indoor pool for when weather was being British, wherever you pitch there are toilets nearby, the barrier at entrance uses number plate recognition making the site as safe as can be for both kids and against theft, on site shop was well stocked and seemed to have everything you needed plus was very reasonable in price. Disliked: The washrooms are clean enough however not practical, there are cubicles for showering but nowhere to get dry and get changed, you are expected to do that in a cramped wet cubicle or stand next to someone brushing their teeth. That's my only fault for the site in all fairness. |

We are sorry to hear that you were dissappointed with your stay. As you can see in a comment below we have installed heaters above the doors in the shower blocks to combat this problem, however I will look into this and see why it may still have been cold in there. The soap dispensers are able to be used both as a hand sanitiser on its own or with water as more of a lathered soap which is why it is not positioned just above the sinks. I have spoke with the restaurant and the only items that they did run out of over the last few weeks, were a couple of items from the 'specials board' as you can appreciate these are not from our regular menu and portions are limited. We have had alot of work done on the park over the winter months, and unfortunately the odd little finishing touches are being completed by outside contractors - we can only apologise for any foul language that may have been overheard and will pass this on. The insulation (part of ensuring the shower blocks stay warm) again is being fitted by an outside company, there are signs outside to inform that the work is being carried out and you are advised to use another shower block - I will investigate as to whether these signs were clearly shown. We are looking into installing new basins in the pool area, sanitiser is provided in dispensers. The welcome booklet has a map of the site showing clearly all water points, chemical disposal, drainage etc. This booklet also provides other information including frequently asked questions, and states that if there is a lack of demand the pool may close earlier. We have started to keep the pool open till 8pm in peak weeks, however if nobody is in the pool for a long period after 6pm then we will close it. Once reception is closed of an evening there are signs on the door advising late arrivals to head to the bar to collect keys to caravans or details of where to pitch up along with further details and telephone numbers for when the bar is closed. Unfortunately reception had just closed, and so all details were taken to the bar ready for your arrival as usual. The reception staff were in the bar at the time as they had gone to the bar to join some of our regular visitors to celebrate a special occasion, the following day was a rotered day off.
