Hide yourself away in the leafy dells of Forest Glade Holiday Park, nestled within the serene and eye-watering lovely Blackdown Hills (the landscape here is so unique that it has been officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
This four-star site has been family run for more than thirty years, and it shows in the thoughtful touches that have been added to make sure visitors have a comfortable stay, from the parent and baby rooms to the ladies’ makeup corner.
After pounding their fellow campers into submission on the all weather tennis court, holidaymakers can relax to the max in the free heated indoor pool and sauna, then stock up for an evening’s cook-in at the licensed shop, or grab a bite from the take-away.
Mini campers are sorted too, with a paddling pool, adventure playground, games room, indoor soft play, and a designated area for ball games. Budding David Attenboroughs should check out the wildlife information room before heading off in search of local fauna on one of the forest walks around the park.
Nearby attractions and activities
The scenery around Forest Glade obviously makes for awesome walking and cycling (you can hire bikes in Tiverton), but there are masses of other activities on offer nearby, from fly fishing to flying, and riding to gliding. Bon vivants will find a glut of cream teas, farmers’ markets and quality pubs and restaurants in the immediate area.
It’s easy to explore the wilds of both Exmoor and Dartmoor from here, or you can gaze your way along the spectacular Jurassic Coast (England’s first natural World Heritage Site). There are beaches at Sidmouth and Exmouth, but if the big yellow thing in the sky proves elusive, families can always go and drive diggers at Diggerland, play crazy golf at Pecorama, or take a heritage tram ride on the Seaton Tramway instead.

Peaceful site when we visited. carolyn l. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Nice woodland setting, would be very nice in summer if you have separate transport to visit nearby attractions. Disliked: Found it hard to find (it would have been easy if we had followed the short route). We avoided the short route because we thought our vehicle was too long (23ft) but it would have been ok going up that way, (but maybe not if you were towing). |

had a great lovely relaxing break Clare T. (With friends, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: camp and facilities were very clean. helpful and quick check in. well sticked and reasonably priced shop. Disliked: taps in the toilet area and for washing up were very irratating, took ages to fill the sinks then the plug kept coming out |

Good site good facilities Peter B. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Location, Facilities, Friendly Staff Disliked: Poor showers, not enough power just dribbles, centre grass location where we were is too close to the very very noisy games room - you have to like kids to pitch on the centre grass area! as we were here for 2 nights only i put up with it but longer and I would have asked to move location. |

Great location and maintained pitches....but.... Lesley G. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: We loved the location of Forest Glade and the pitches were well maintained. The play area for the kids was perfect and the "back to nature" - almost - was perfect for family with very young children. Disliked: Sorry to say that I found the small indoor pool very run down and too cold for the baby. The showers ran warm but at a trickles pace. The shower / toilet blocks - although cleaned daily, are run down and in need of renovating. It was frustrating to use as the taps are push downs and you have to keep pressing them to get your water running. The toilets are on a short flush and people ... |

Remote but lovely site. Loads of walking terrain nearby. Relaxing stay, only slightly marred by a rowdy group in a few caravans from the West Midlands. We knew there were likely to be noise issues when we saw their "Beer" flags flying on our arrival. Ratty (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The wildlife pond (we spent ages watching the dragonflies), the shop, the layout of the site, the walks. Friendly staff and owners. Disliked: The pool - small, crowded and a bit grubby. |

Liked: Great Location. Great freshly baked food available, Disliked: Cold showers after 9am. |

Liked: beautiful countryside, swimming pool, playground with area for little kids, clean loos and warm showers, friendly and helpful staff, friendly and helpful fellow campers, space to freeze ice-packs, free magazines to read, quiet in the evenings, lots of kids for our little ones to play with. Disliked: Our small kids were getting up early, and on the days when it was raining it was hard to keep them entertained in our fairly small tent...an indoor space open early on the morning would have been useful..but more of a learning curve for us and how to camp with small kids rather than a direct criticsm of a lovely campsite. |

Can't wait to go back. Fereli (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Weather took a downturn the day after we arrived, but didn't deter us from having a fab time. We have 3 children aged 1, 3 and 9, and a small dog. The facilities were fab, the staff were really freindly and we all enjoyed plenty of forest walks. The indoor pool and games room were saviours in particularly bad weather, and the play area is suitable for older and younger children. The football/basketball ... Disliked: Nothing, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have your own transport. |

Originally booked for 3 nights during the school holiday. Found the site very child friendly and the staff helpful. As well as me and my 9 year old boy, we had our dog with us and the site was brilliant. Being in the forest it was perfect for walking Tracey_S (Family with older children, 2 reviews, 1 photo) Confirmed ?

Super campsite Philippa_C (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The forest was fantastic with lots of lovely walks. The kids loved the adventure playground and the swimming pool. Very clean toilet block that was regularly cleaned. Disliked: Reversing up the hill when the bin lorry came, but that's more a reflection on my driving. |

Peace, quiet and a central location for many places of interest locally rachh2001 (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The camp's a great size, plenty of room for everyone. Lovely forest area to explore and good childrens play area. There's a pool but unfortunately we didn't get to use it. Disliked: The site's part way up a hill so the first day we stayed we couldn't actually see anything as we were in cloud all day! Shop could be better and there were no evening activities/entertainment. |
