Directions

Get directions

By car or bike: IMPORTANT: The only road access to YHA Land's End is via Kelynack on the B3306. Turn off the B3306 at Kelynack and follow the road through the farmyard and past the sign "Unsuitable for motors" - although narrow the road is tarmac and in good condition all the way to the hostel entrance. Follow this road without making any further turns until you reach the gate with "Letcha Vean", YHA and Hostelling International signs.

By foot: From St Just, walk past the library away from the town centre along Market Street and turn left following Bosorne Terrace past a chapel and recreation ground. Turn right down narrow lane passing cottages and old well. Where the lane ends turn right down footpath following signs for YHA. If heading north on the coast path follow signs to YHA from south side of Porth Nanven or via Letcha Farm from Gribba Point. If heading south on the coast path follow the road upwards in the Cot Valley (opposite direction to coast path which follows the same road down the Cot Valley) and turn right onto the small track at Rosewell Cottage. Cross the stream and then follow YHA signs.

Bus information: Most buses stop at the bus station in St Just opposite the library. From here it is a 15 minute walk to the hostel (directions above). Do not get off the bus at the brown YHA signs just before St Just - these are the direction signs for cars. Some bus drivers may try to drop you off here, but the walk is much further! A few buses stop at Kelynack, from here it is a 10 minute walk along the narrow lane. First 10 or 10B from Penzance to St Just 3/4 mile (Monday to Sunday) Western Greyhound 509 from Penzance (passes entrance to YHA Penzance)to St Just 3/4 mile (Monday to Saturday) Western Greyhound 507 from Gurnards Head, to St Just 3/4 mile (Monday to Saturday) connects with Western Greyhound 508 from St Ives and Zennor Western Greyhound 504 from Penzance via Mousehole, Porthcurno, Lands End and Sennen, to St Just 3/4 mile or Kelynack 1/2 mile (Monday to Saturday) Open top Cornwall Explorer (30th April to 2nd October): First 300 from St Ives, Zennor, Land's End, Porthcurno and Penzance to St Just 3/4 mile or Kelynack 1/2 mile (Monday to Sunday).
