Trewan is a unique family-run campsite in mid Cornwall between Newquay and Padstow. Here at Trewan we try to conserve the essence of a Cornish estate by enhancing the natural beauty of woodlands, gardens and traditional building methods.
Trewan Hall Camping Site comprises 36 acres of woods and grounds surrounding the old stone mansion of Trewan Hall. Situated in the English county of Cornwall, Trewan is six miles east of Newquay and a short walk from the Cornish town of St Columb Major.
The camping grounds and amenities are perfectly integrated into the estate and are designed to blend into their surroundings rather then detract from them. There is a choice of two fields each with a unique ‘feel’. One smaller family orientated field close to the shop, barns and play park plus a larger field with plenty of space with an 'away from it all' atmosphere.
Pitches are not allocated, giving you, the guest, the choice you wish. We are in an advantageous position in that we have far more space then available pitches. This means more room, more choice and the view or convenience you want. We also control the maximum numbers of campers carefully so as not to over-stretch facilities.
New for 2013 - A new toilet block will be ready for the season 2013. This will comprise of ladies/gents toilets and shower rooms with each having private wash rooms within. Also available will be: hair dryer, disabled/family bathroom, family shower room, drying facilities, washing up area, wet suite shower and baby changing facilities.
Nearby attractions and activities
The campsite is four miles from the nearest beach on the north coast and close to many other sandy beaches. We are the nearest Camping & Caravanning Club site to the Eden Project, only 15 miles away. There are many other attractions in Cornwall and being situated in the middle of the county makes most of them easily accessible.
