See all facilities…It’s all rather smart at Tregarton Park: beautifully landscaped grounds; pitches screened by mature greenery with gorgeous country or coastal vistas; chocolate box-worthy stone buildings to house the park shop and other facilities; manicured tennis courts, and a lovely heated pool and sundeck. Even the dog walking meadow is groomed to perfection...
This serene site is ideal for couples or families with younger children, given its relaxed seclusion and proximity to so many safe, sandy beaches. There’s a kids' adventure playground, plus pristine essential amenities including excellent disabled facilities, a laundry room and washing up area. The licensed shop is packed with a vast array of provisions - including the local cider, of course - and tasty takeaway meals are also on the menu.
Nearby attractions and activities
This area is beachtastic, with no fewer than six fab stretches of sand or shingle within four miles of the site: Caerhays (where guests will also find a stunning castle and gardens), unspoiled Gorran Haven harbour, Portmellon, Megavissey (another quaint fishing harbour), Vault Beach (popular with naturists) and Hemmick Beach.
Otherwise, Cornwall is jammed with things to see and do, so it all depends how far you want to travel - all of the following are less than an hour from Tregarton.
Lands End, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan probably need no introduction, but lesser known attractions such as the Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, which exhibits artefacts from over 150 wrecks, also get rave reviews from visitors.
For the nippers, there’s farmyard fun to be found at Dairyland Farm World, over 50,000 square feet of all-weather action at Kidzworld, more than 650 birds and animals plus an indoor playbarn at Paradise Park, and squealy great rides at Flambards Theme Park.
For shopping, St. Austell and Newquay are recommended, and boast many other attractions to keep the rest of the family occupied while the retail addict gets their fix...

Good sized pitch, good facilities and very friendly Charlotte_B0 (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The size of the pitch was superb for tent or caravan with plenty of space for an awning. Disliked: The Take Away is only open for the summer months however during our stay the site was busy (not full) and would've probably turned good trade even on reduced hours - certainly something we were looking forward to but missed out on. |

Definitely recommend Mark J. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: We stayed in May so the site wasn't completely full but there still seemed to be a lot of people there yet it was quiet and never a queue for the showers. The showers were excellent and the whole toilet/shower block was beautifully clean and well maintained. Disliked: Nothing |

Conveniently located and sensibly priced. Stella R. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Showers/toilets modern and clean. No other facilities available when staying so not able to comment. Conveniently located and prices good. Good supply of bins and general water supply/emptying. Disliked: We disliked the policy of having the doors and windows fixed open in the toilet/shower block no matter what the weather and no heating. The motorhome service point is not conveniently placed and takes some shifting to get in/out. Depending on where located, TV and mobile reception poor. Tarmac and grass pitches have narrow tarmac bit so difficult to avoid wet grass. At one point during our stay the drains appeared to smell ... |

Nice and calm site, well organised. Claude P. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: I stayed there one night only, arriving late in the evening. Directions, showers and other facilities for washing up dishes, motorhome facilities... were all good, in working order and clean. Weather was poor so did not get a chance to have children play on playground but seemed quite pleasant. Disliked: Nothing I can report but stayed only 1 night. |

THE BEST suzanne-hollings (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: I have been holidaying at Tregarton Park for some years now (prior to current owners) and witnessed many changes along the way (no swimming pool originally!) I must admit the current owners are very friendly and helpful & are happy to assist in any way they can - the play area for the children is great - we like to camp across from it as we can keep an eye on the kids without taking away their sense ... Disliked: Nothing to dislike!! |

The best campsite we've ever stayed on! Can't wait to return. sarah-morley (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The staff and owners made us feel so welcome. Our kids loved it. The take away food is a fabulous break from the normal camping fodder. We can't wait for our return this year, well worth the 7hr drive! Disliked: The only drawback is the distance by foot to anywhere but very accessible with a car! |

Nice site, beautifully maintained. FStanden (Family with young children, 4 reviews, 6 photos)
Liked: The pitch sizes are very good and most have some privacy provided by small shrubs, trees and hedges. Lots of wildlife on the site - my son loved the bunnies hopping around in the early mornings. The grounds, shop and swimming pool area are very well maintained. Staff are very friendly. The location is excellent with lots of beaches, gardens and attractions nearby. Disliked: My son was very dissapointed with the "no inflatables in the pool rule" and even though the weather wasn't that great the pool could get very overcrowded. |

Peaceful, friendly site derek (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The site is always clean, tidy and well run. Help is always avalable if required. The newly refurbished shower block has been fitted out to a very high standard, a credit to the site owners who invest a lot of time and money in improving the site in the closed season ready for the next season. We are looking forward to our return visits next year. The addition of a two-bedroom self-catering cottage with use ... Disliked: We are unable to find any faults. |

Thank you for your review. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay and would like to return again for a third time.
In response to your feedback:
The windows are fixed in their vented position of 5mm to conform to regulations to ensure movement of air within the toilet block. You are more than welcome to close the doors, something we do at night as a matter of course.
The motorhome service point (14ft wide) is situated next to a chemical disposal point for convenience. There are also waste bins, fresh and grey water points at this location.
TV is fine for 99% of people. Direction aerials are the best so you can tune to either of the two TV transmitters we pick up. Status aerials can get confused as to which transmitter they should tune to. Unfortunately I have no control over the quality of mobile reception on our park, O2 is the best - Why, who knows!
The tarmac section on the "tarmac with grass pitches" are 10 feet wide, leaving 3 to 4 feet of space to play with when reversing or driving onto.
Checking our maintenance reports the ladies side of the toilet block did have a blocked drain during your stay and was unblocked immediately. The other issue noted was a "dead gas" smell which does occur when a bottle runs dry. I have not had this happen before so I called in my "Gas Safe Registered" service engineer to check all the lines and he concluded it was this and since the bottles were replaced the smell has gone. With the laundry room backing onto the ladies this would explain how that smell may have drifted.
Once again, many thanks for your feedback and I look forward to welcoming you again soon.
