Liked: Very friendly reception, terrific heated swimming pool, pitches good. very informative and knowledgible about local matters. Lovely secluded local local beach. Great views from the site. Toilets and showers are as good as any I have used on camp sites. Showers are free (some sites charge on top of much higher camping fees)

Disliked: weather, wasn't hot and sunny all the time!!!
otherwise nothing.

The facilities were better than any other campsite i've ever stayed on. As I turned up at the end of a rainy period, I was offered the choice of pitches and even given the oppertunity to pitch between two pitches if it was dryer. The people were all frie

Directions

Get directions

From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey for approximately three miles, at the top of the steep hill, turn right signposted to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Seaview International. Follow this road and the brown signs to Seaview International.

O.S. grid reference: SW991412

Please note: If you are using a GPS or satnav device then do not carry straight on at the top of the hill as this will take you into the centre of Mevagissey where the streets are extremely narrow and often blocked. Please turn right at the top of the hill and your device should recalculate your route avoiding the centre of Mevagissey.

Please note: All distances on this page are calculated "as the crow flies" - please check actual distance depending on your mode of travel using the Get directions button above.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the Pitchup.com terms and conditions.

Touring booking conditions

Balance: Due and payable four full weeks before commencement of all holidays, or as soon as possible if your booking is for within four weeks. We reserve the right to cancel the booking without refund if your balance is not paid four weeks before commencement of your holiday, or after your Pitchup.com booking if it is for within four weeks (park will contact you). No reminders will be sent. On arrival it is necessary for you to produce your booking confirmation form or a delay may be experienced whilst records are checked.

Arrival: Touring pitches are normally ready by 1pm on the day of arrival. If you should arrive before this time it may be necessary to use the holding area provided. Pitches must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. A charge of £5.00 may be levied for each hour or part hour after 10am until the pitch is vacated. If for any reason you fail to arrive on the date you have booked, and if you have not contacted and provided the management of the Park with a reason for delay, the pitch will be relet from 9am next day.

Electrical hook-ups: All of our pitches are equipped with a round pin connector electrical facility and all our electric bollards provide a 16-amp power supply.

All service, premier and luxury family pitchups: Perimeter pitches each have a power supply plus a water tap, suitable for plug in systems, and a waste gully for direct discharge if necessary.

Special requests (please use Pitchup.com special requests box): We certainly try hard to meet all your requests regarding pitch allocation and for adjacent pitches. However, this can never be guaranteed as it is not always possible due to ever- changing operational requirements.

Cancellations: A copy of your booking receipt must accompany any cancellation and must be sent by recorded delivery letter. We will make every effort to relet the pitch for the period in question. If we are unable to do so, the balance will remain due.

Cars: One vehicle per pitch is allowed to park on the pitch. Additional cars/boats/trailers must be parked in the designated car park. Visitors’ cars must also be parked in the car park. If the caravan/tent etc is deemed by the Management to be excessively large, guests will be asked to park their car in the car park.

Groundsheets: We insist all our guests to use breathable groundsheets as this protects the grass.

Any charges outstanding following the holiday will be automatically deducted from your credit/debit card.

Holiday accommodation conditions

Balance: Due and payable four full weeks before commencement of all holidays, or after your Pitchup.com booking if it for within four weeks (park will contact you). We reserve the right to cancel the booking without refund if your balance is not paid four weeks before commencement of your holiday. No reminders will be sent. On arrival it is necessary for you to produce your booking confirmation form or a delay may be experienced whilst records are checked.

Site rules (will be enforced and offenders will be removed as stated under general conditions)

We have only a few common sense rules to protect the majority and to preserve the peaceful friendly atmosphere of this beautiful park.

Speed limit: 10mph on site roads.

Blades, skateboards and motorised micro scooters: Not allowed to be used on the Park under any circumstances!

Bicycles: Must be ridden in a slow considerate manner at all times and absolutely no riding after dusk. The Management reserves the right to restrict or withdraw the use of the above.

Noise: No undue noise is accepted after 10.30pm (including TVs, radios, etc.). Repeated breach of this rule will result in removal from the park.

The swimming pool complex: Open from late May to early September each year. Children under 16 years old must be supervised by a related adult. The pools may be closed if it is necessary to effect essential repair or for maintenance. If, in the opinion of the Management, the weather is too stormy, wet or contrary to the proper operation of the heated swimming pools, the whole complex will be closed and opened when it is sensible to do so. Children must wear costumes or similar when using the pools. Inflatables are not permitted in the pools. No dogs allowed in the area. The pools are unsupervised. Please note display boards with pool descriptions and depths.

Safety, children: Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children at all times whilst using the amenities and facilities on the park. Please note the 10.30pm quiet rule. It is expected that all children will be returning to their families by 10.30pm or be accompanied by a related adult.

Behaviour: If any person or group of children causes a general nuisance to guests staying on the park, staff members, or causes damage to the property of the company the offender and the offender’s party will be immediately removed from the park. No refund will be given for the remaining segment of holiday paid for. Unfortunately, these security arrangements have been forced upon us by the changing attitudes of a minority. We are confident that most of our guests will understand the situation we face. We therefore trust that we will receive cooperation in achieving a safe and peaceful environment.

Washing lines: Not allowed and will be removed. Hook-on airing racks are accepted.

Windbreaks: Must not exceed six poles and are allowed at the discretion of the management. Windbreaks contravening this rule will be removed by the park staff.

Dogs: Certain breeds of dogs are accepted on our touring pitches. They must always be on a short lead (not exceeding 6ft/2m) and be exercised off the main park. A large exercise paddock is provided for dogs. Owners must fully clean up any dog mess; failure to do so will result in the immediate removal of the guest and their party from the park. No dogs should be left unattended to cause a nuisance to other holidaymakers. We do not accept the following breeds: Doberman, Rotweiler, Pit Bull Terrier, banned dogs.

Barbecues: We have provided a number of purpose-built barbecue areas for the use by guests. Barbecues are allowed on the pitch or beside the static caravan if they are at least 2ft (60cm) above the ground.

General conditions

Bookings are only accepted for couples or family groups.

The proprietors disclaim all responsibility for any injury to guests in person or their children if they are improperly using the equipment or facilities provided on the site. Parents are responsible for the supervision and safety of their children in all areas of the park.

Every effort is made to provide the facilities as advertised. We regret that we are unable to accept liability for the temporary lack of any facility due to technical breakdown or any circumstances beyond our control.

The proprietors disclaim responsibility for any injury or damage to guests’ property or to their person or to their children or their pets by fire, theft, water or any third party or by any means whatsoever whilst they are on the site. This includes acts of God, civil strife, industrial action, natural disasters, war, animals and insects.

The management reserve the right to introduce additional conditions or to waive any particular conditions in individual cases or to amend or vary the terms and conditions.

Any person in breach of these booking terms and conditions or site rules or who behave in such a way to cause offence to either the staff or other guests on the site shall be liable at the discretion of the management to be required to vacate the site together with all remaining members of their party with no refund being payable for fees paid in advance.

On arrival it is necessary for you to produce your booking confirmation form or a delay may be experienced whilst records are checked.
