Teneriffe Farm Camping & Caravan Site now managed by the National Trust, is situated on the stunning Lizard Peninsula. Ideally located near the South West Coast Path, Predannack Downs and the Lizard National Nature Reserve, it is perfect for those who enjoy walking, bird watching, cycling and other outdoor pursuits. There are numerous, excellent and award winning beaches, beautiful coves, fishing harbours, villages and local attractions only a short drive away. With no passing traffic and associated noise, the campsite is just that little bit off the beaten track, but easily accessible by road from Mullion village.
The site itself commands a delightful sea view. In our main field there are 24 pitches, 14 with electric hook-up, for tents, touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents, all with generous spacing between each pitch. Pitches are located around the perimeter of a 3 acre field, leaving the centre area free for recreational purposes. A children’s play area has swings, slide and climbing frame. An additional 3 acre field is put into use for the high summer period which provides an additional 29 pitches, 12 with electric hook-up; again all pitches located around the perimeter.
Facilities are provided for the washing of crockery etc. and for washing clothes. Hot water is free of charge. New for this year will be an additional outdoor wash area. No more queuing while waiting to wash your crockery and great for having a chat with your fellow campers! There is a toilet and shower block. Hot water is provided for the wash basins. A small charge of 20p is made for the showers. A hair drier is provided in the ladies and razor points in the men’s. New launderette facilities are to be installed for 2013.
Barbecues are allowed on site. Please ensure they are lifted off the ground so that they do not scorch or burn the grass. If you choose to use a disposal barbecue then blocks are provided. We are sorry, but open fires are not permitted under any circumstances.
The site is managed as a traditional campsite, kept and maintained for everyone to enjoy a great camping experience. There are no entertainment or clubhouse facilities. The campsite is situated in a stunning area and visitors stay with us to experience this beautiful outdoor location. To help protect the peaceful nature of our site, we have a ‘no noise’ rule between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am. Please note you will also need to bring torches with you as the only lighting is situated around the toilet and shower block.
With very little light pollution the area is great for star gazing. On a clear night the views are truly amazing. You’ll be surprised how many stars you can see with the naked eye: even more through binoculars. Check out Discover the wonders of our dark skies for an insight into star gazing and for more information about our solar system.
New for 2013 are our Family Camping Pods They are generously sized and can accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults & 3 children and are a great way to experience the enjoyment of camping but with a little luxury of a warm, dry place to sleep. Built in solid treated timber and insulated with sheep’s wool, each pod is equipped with lighting, an oil filled radiator, power supply and French doors that lead to a lovely outside wooden decking area: perfect to sit out on to have your meals or just to enjoy a lovely evening and watch the sun go down. Each pod also comes with sleeping mattresses for 4 people. They can then be stacked during the day for seating. You need to bring with you everything you would normally need for camping; you just don’t need the tent. But don’t forget your sleeping bags! We now have them in place and they are available to rent from 22nd March. If you would like any further information then please ask us.
We welcome you to bring your dog, but please ensure he is kept under strict supervision at all times, always tethered whilst on-site (there are no exceptions to this), and taken off-site to be exercised. There is plenty of open countryside to be found with easy access immediately from the campsite. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details regarding our dog policy.
