Having trouble deciding between the delights of Devon and the charms of Cornwall? Come to Pentire Haven Holiday Park in the beautiful border territory of Bude, where you can make the most of both. With all-round knockout views of the coast and countryside, Pentire Haven is close to several superb beaches and within easy driving distance of an array of ace attractions for all ages.
There are a range of pitch options, and the essential amenities are modern, clean and warm, with good disabled provision. Plus you get free wifi, an onsite shop, and a smart new adventure playground for the kids - and if the weather is up to it, the cute outdoor pool is the ideal spot to cool down after a pleasant few hours exploring the glorious coastal paths surrounding the site.
The owners of Pentire Haven Holiday Park have also negotiated for guests to have full access to the leisure club at nearby Penstowe Holidays, where there's an indoor pool complex with jacuzzi and sauna, tennis, squash and badminton courts, a children's club, evening entertainment and more (some activities incur an additional charge).
Nearby attractions and activities
The awesome sandy beaches of Bude - Sandymouth, Summerleaze, Crooklets et al - are just five minutes away, and the beauty of this stretch of coast means it's ideal for outdoorsy pursuits of every kind, from surfing, sailing and windsurfing, to fishing, golfing and birdwatching. Walkers and cyclists shouldn't miss the chance to explore the Camel Trail, which runs for 17 miles through some of the area's most spectacular scenery.
When it comes to day trips, you can tick off a considerable number of Devon and Cornwall's "must sees": King Arthur's pad at Tintagel, the global greenery of the Eden Project, the cobbles and donkeys of Clovelly, gorgeous country estates such as Lanhydrock or Hartland Abbey, and a little further afield, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth.
For family fun, try the Blue Reef Aquarium (just one of an excellent range of child-friendly attractions in Newquay), the animal antics of the Big Sheep, or the popular Crealy Adventure Park.

First time here & will return again next year sprinter (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Staff Disliked: the shower curtains
From the manager...
Thank you for your review, we have looked at other methods other than shower curtains, but glass doors are not really safe enough in a campsite, so it looks like the curtains will be staying until we think of something else? |

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Not much we can do about the weather but we are adding some more roads to the camping field this year which should cure any muddy access problems. |

Excellent site and helpful staff Gary T. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: As we had a trailer tent we booked a superior pitch which was a very good size, the site was clean, including plenty of clean facilities. The staff were always helpful and nothing was any trouble. The entertainment in the other site was fun and the indoor pool a real treat in the one day of really bad rain. Overall I would recommend this campsite to anyone Disliked: Nothing really
