Southern Bells is located on a ten-acre field away from the road so very peaceful and more importantly safe for your little ones! We have a toilet block onsite with basins and also a chemical toilet disposal point as well if you would prefer to bring your own. There is also a fresh water supply. Unfortunately we do not have showers or an electric hook up.

We provide stress-free camping with pre-erected bell tents ready for your arrival. These can be empty or furnished to your level of requirements to ensure a comfortable stay with us. This is an all-grass site with the ability to park up next to your tent. We do allow campfires but only in fire baskets which are available to hire upon request.

The view from the campsite is spectacular looking out over the Surrey Hills and surrounding areas. It is also not short of wildlife with an abundance of foxes and rabbits and two resident buzzards.

Nearby attractions and activities

Just a few minutes' walk down the road is the local pub The Jolly Farmers where you can enjoy a tipple or two in their large beer garden. There are many local walks in the area that you can take in for an active break. A half-an-hour walk away is The Wiremill, a beautiful 15th-century pub on a lake where you can take water skiing lessons. It is most famous for producing staples for St Paul's Cathedral, London.

Visit the little village of Lingfield - famous for the racecourse - or the cage that was used as a temporary jail for minor felons in the 1700s and 1800s. It is next to the pond and a huge hollow but fully leafed oak tree which is thought to be over 400 years old. Other places of interest include the British Wildlife Centre, Bluebell Railway, Hever Castle, Godstone Farm. Also Chessington Zoo and Thorpe Park are within an hour's drive.

Liked: Thanks Sarah, Good touches like lovely flowers, welcome mat and fairy lights! Very Glampy! Peaceful, uncrowded, with truly panoramic views. The tent was all ready for us on arrival. Great fire basket and tree stump seating - ideal for toasted marshmallows and campfire songs.

Disliked: Lacks a shower block - we would have stayed longer. Toilet block clean on arrival but could be better attended to. The facilities are quite basic but adequate and whilst this will not worry hardened campers, glampers might find this off putting.

Liked: Sarah and Graham are so helpful, anything you need they get it for you and are always on hand if you need any help or information about the area. We were a group of 7 girls and hired two fully furnished bell tents at a very reasonable price.. I had asked Sarah if she would mind adding some 30th balloons and banners for my sister as it was a surprise birthday trip and she went ...

Disliked: Would be even better if there was a shower block.
