An apple a day... or perhaps a glass of juice sourced from the trees encircling your pitch? Reconnect with your core values in the apple orchards of Neals Place Farm, where you can clear a woolly head by chatting to the sheep in the neighbouring field.
This is a small, friendly site on a working farm, offering tourer and motorhome pitches with electricity and water, plus a field for tents (water only). The facilities are good (showers, loos, chemical disposal points and washing machine and tumble dryer available, plus the farm shop selling apple-related goodies), but Canterbury is on the doorstep for any other facilities visitors might need. Dogs on the lead are welcome.
Disabled access is available to the showers and toilets and there's even a disabled scooter available!
Nearby attractions and activities
It’s around 20 minutes walk to the historic centre of Canterbury, with its classy cathedral, museums, ghost and river tours, plus food, drink and entertainment aplenty.
On the coast are beach resorts such as Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate, plus the oyster oasis of Whitstable, which can be reached by bike along the Crab and Winkle Way, a railway line turned cycle route. There’s a place to hire bikes half a mile from the farm.
Other sporty fun nearby includes fishing, sailing, horse riding, golf and ten pin bowling, and there are some lovely nature walks in the serene Blean Woods.
Guests can also go Gallic for the day with a jaunt across the channel by Eurotunnel or ferry (bagging some duty free en route, naturellement).

A lovely location David L. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Staying amongst the apple trees is lovely. The owners were friendly and the location is splendid. Despite being only a mile or so from Canterbury centre the site is peaceful. Disliked: The shower and toilet facilities are both basic and quirky but clean and well maintained. I was a little surprised at the facilities but it had little impact on our stay as we have facilities in the caravan. If you are relying on the site facilities you should understand this. |

Would use your site again as it peaceful and sechluded. Disliked: Unfortunately not much of a variety in the campsite farmshop...no camping supplies (basic things like) - mallet, tent pegs. |

Lovely site, good value for money martinhazelszabo (Family with young children, 2 reviews, 2 photos)
Liked: This is a lovely friendly site with level grass pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Our tent is 6m x 3m and it fitted on the pitch perfectly with space for our car and table and chairs etc. Disliked: The toilet and shower facilities are unfortunately very basic, just a couple of old port-cabins. I hate making a negative comment about this as I know "roughing it" a little is part of the fun of camping, but if the wash facilities had been a bitter better then I would rate this site as excellent. |

Nice pitches, good hosts, good location, poor showers, facilities could be improved. Eliot H. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Owners very welcoming and friendly. The pitches had a good amount of space and were flat. This campsite is in a great location for Canterbury if you wish to walk or cycle in. Disliked: No pot washing facilities. Poor shower areas and changing facilities. The water was warm/hot however getting changed was very difficult as it is just had a loose curtain to disguise ones dignity. If the door was opened all soon was revealed. |

Great site, very peaceful Michaela_R (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Lovely site in an orchard. Pitches are very flat. The farm shop has a few basics. Owner is very friendly, always happy to stop and natter. Hare and Hounds pub within walking distance is excellent. Site was very quiet when we were there. No washing up facilities but there is a free hot water tap. Large tables with chairs every couple of tent pitches or so. Water taps very close to tents. Disliked: The showers are very basic, just portakabins but they did the job. |

4 nights, quite busy but still plenty of room between pitches marked out with apple trees. andrewclark96155 (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Friendly welcome from Ken who is helpful and informative. Lovely flat pitches between apple trees with electric and water to all. Canterbury in walking distance, a good mile though. Good dog walking area a couple of minutes down foot path, all good parts of Kent within 20 miles, coffee machine. Disliked: the amenities need a little freshen up, despite being clean, |

Liked: We spent two nights here in our tent and loved the pitches in amoungst the fruit trees, and the kids loved the sheep that where in the field just behind us, there was a small shop which was reasonably priced. Disliked: Not a dislike but felt a kids play area would have been nice. |

Great campsite - a little gem! Andy S. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The layout, the owners were so friendly and helpful. Each pitch came with a large wooden table (approx 8' x 4'!) and chairs which were very useful. Plenty of water and waste facilities, clearly marked good size pitches (we got our Vango tigris 600 & coleman shelter on there fine). The owners said there was no rush to leave on our last day! Great location with a footpath into canterbury for a nice stroll. Disliked: To be honest, the showers were a little on the basic side, but i don't go camping expecting 4 star amenities especially when the site is so reasonably priced. Please don't let that put you off a great site!! |

Liked: really like the welcome and the setting. when a lot of camping sites call themselves "farm" and actually are holiday park, this place gave us the countryside feel we really were looking for. we could put our tent between the apple trees with a flock of sheep only meters away. Disliked: the amenities need a little freshen up, despite being clean |
