To get true flavour of The Sustainability Centre, take a day or two out and come and stay.
Below, you can see how you can experience a Tipi, a Mongolian-style yurt, or simply bring your own tent. Or if you prefer a real roof over your head, you can check in to Wetherdown Lodge.
Camping and facilities
Our camping field is in a peaceful open space, surrounded by trees. Over the years we've welcomed individuals, families, group expeditions, companies and even wedding parties.
We have a main campground with a fire pit as well as private camping bays. We encourage guests to enjoy nature and the natural environment, and we hope you will find it peaceful and relaxing. We promote the values of The Sustainability Centre: we are big on recycling and limit vehicle access to the campground.
Our facilities include a straw bale building that houses solar showers and a washing up area, a compost loo, running water and extra facilities in our centre building near the cafe. We supply wood from our woodlands and charcoal from a small local producer.
For larger events, celebrations or groups the whole campground may be rented for a fixed price, in accordance with our values on low-impact events.
PRICES (per person per night):

5 to 13 years £4.00

For an experience with a difference, we have a large Mongolian-style yurt. The yurt is available for daytime events and to rent overnight. It has a wooden floor, pot belly stove and a double futon. Prices start at £40.00 for two people. Please contact us for more details.

Directions
From Old Winchester Hill
Continue on the road from Old Winchester Hill to Clanfield after three miles we are on the right.
A3 from London/Petersfield
Shortly after Queen Elizabeth Country Park, take a left turn - sign posted Clanfield. The road then doubles back under the A3. Now follow directions as 'from Clanfield' (see below.)
A3 from Portsmouth/Horndean
Take the first turning sign posted Clanfield - there is a windmill on the hill to the right (now see from Clanfield)
From Clanfield
From A3 take the road into Clanfield. At the Rising Sun Pub turn right ( there is a brown sign signposted The Sustainability Centre). Follow the road for about 2 miles - the last mile is up hill through woods. At the top of the hill turn left by a cottage onto the Droxford Road. Continue for about 400 yrd and the Centre is on the left
By Public Transport/Taxi
There is (sadly) NO bus route passing the Centre.
Our nearest train station is Petersfield about 7 miles, from which you can catch buses to East Meon or Clanfield (both about 2miles from the Centre). Buses from Petersfield are the 52 or 67 to East Meon and the 37 to Clanfield (get off at the Rising Sun Pub if you intend to walk). You can also catch the 41/X41 from Portsmouth to Clanfield.
On foot from Clanfield
(About 2.5 miles/ 45 mins) From the Rising Sun Pub in Clanfield head up East Meon Road, which is brown signposted for the Sustainability Centre. After about 150m take Little Hyden Lane on your right hand side. Follow LH Road all the way up -it turns into a byway and finally into a footpath. Where the path becomes a footpath there is a bridleway going off to the right- do not take it! Continue straight up the hill on the footpath through the woods, and finally along the edge of a field at the outskirts of the wood. The footpath meets the South Downs Way on the brow of the hill. Follow the SDW to the left until you reach the Sustainability Centre.
