The Gypsy Campsite makes an ideal place for families or friends travelling together to get out of the city and enjoy the countryside. The Farm makes a great place to escape to and enjoy the changing seasons from the abundant apple and cherry blossom in the spring, lambs dancing around in the adjacent fields, the blue bells in the 300yr old copse, apple picking in the autumn. For those who feel like trying something differnt how about Pony carriage drive through the country lanes? With the coast and its many little-known beaches just four miles away and central London an hour by train, it's an unusual and easy escape.

With its own private veranda running along one side of the trailer; it makes it a lovely place to enjoy the far reaching views over looking Danbury Ridge and the water meadows.

Both the Buccaneer and Burton enjoy thier own private area tucked way amongts the Apple trees and next to the 300yr ancient copse which boast a wonderfull carpet of blue bells in the Spring. The area; once a gravel pit, is now home to numerous spcimen trees collected by Robbie Bishop during his many trips arround the world.
The Buccaneer & The Burton share facilities consisting of a shower and toilet block nestle in amongst the apple trees next to the Blue Bell wood.
Bouncers Farm Campsite operates as a low impact environmental site. Our small holding keeps the farm in produce for most of the year. There is no electricity in both campsites. The shower has a log burning water heater and is very efficient on wood consumption. Cooking is done over open fires (weather permitting) We try to leave the country side unchanged. Charming and a little annoying GabrielJS (Family with young children, 3 reviews, 1 photo)
Liked: Small, pretty campsite with two areas for tents, campfires allowed and a sturdy toilet block. Kids loved waking up to the pot-bellied pigs and seeing chickens and horses. There were trees to climb and other kids to run off with. We ordered fresh pastries for breakfast one morning. Nice spot of countryside, not too far from the coast. Disliked: Carting all your stuff from the car park at the top down to the site in a wheelbarrow is not easy, especially when the path is muddy and the wheelbarrow is broken. Couldn't find where to check in when we arrived. |
