This small adults-only park is open all year and has 34 pitches, including a disabled suite. You can be parked and in central Manchester within half an hour of leaving the campsite, and it’s also recommended to check out Bury Open Market if you’re at Gelder Wood on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday – it’s been voted the best in Britain and was also voted the BBC Best Food Market. If you want to relax after all that, Gelder Wood has two golf courses, coarse fishing, horse-riding or walking on the Lancashire and Yorkshire moors.
