See all facilities…Watch the sun go down over the sweeping moors from the deck of your comfortable glamping pod, where you can sleep snugly and soundly with no worries about the weather might do while your back is turned...
With an uninterrupted vista of the striking Pennine landscape, friendly family-owned Moorlands Caravan Park is in an area stuffed with country pubs offering top notch grub and gradely real ales, with the closest right on the doorstep in the village of Denshaw.
Nearby attractions and activities
There’s scenic walking, mountain biking and horse riding along the Pennine Bridleway, which passes through the park, or strap on your boots to ramble along a section of the parallel Pennine Way.
The site is also brilliantly located for day trips. In less than an hour, visitors can get to the urban attractions of Manchester, Liverpool, York, Leeds, Bradford and Hull, head off to Blackpool for some rock and rollercoasters, or take in the bucolic splendour of the Lake District and Peak District.
Guests can also enjoy the lively and diverse calendar of events and festivals organised by the Saddleworth community. Depending when you come, you could find yourself taking in the duck races, vintage cars and craft fair at the summer show, on a charity beer walk, enjoying a brass band or folk festival, celebrating Yorkshire Day, taking part in a wartime reenactment, watching the Saddleworth Morris Men’s famous Rushcart procession, or sampling the region’s finest at a beer festival.
