Liked: We're new to caravanning and the warden was extremely friendly and very helpful. The site is quiet and, for us, it was just the place to tinker about with our new caravan and get to grips with how things work, without being on a busy site with lots of pairs of eyes watching us. Especially when it took us 4 hours to work out our awning!

The loos and showers are small and the ...

Disliked: There was nothing to dislike here. If you want a big site with a pub, disco, shop and park then this isn't the place for you. If you want to go somewhere quiet and relax on a small site then it's perfect.

Not really suitable for tents, made for tourers

Emma W. (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)   Confirmed ?

  • Stayed Aug 2012 Review submitted
  • Stayed in: Tent pitches
  • Would not recommend to friends
  • Would not visit again

Liked: the view, the reception, the early arrival time
the size of the campsite

Disliked: The gravel made it very tricky to pitch our tent - not really suitable for tents.
The site says 15m by 15m but much much smaller pitches, think it should say feet
Pitches quite a distance from toilets. In my opinion not enough showers or bins (they were overflowing)

From the manager...

We have stopped taking large tents as some tents are huge as the comments above show, this one took up almost two pitches
the toilets are 40secs away at a normal walking pace
we have more than the correct number of showers/ toilets as required by local authority regulations.
