  • Peaceful and spacious wildlife haven in the smart Ashton Hall Estate
  • Lancaster city and the Forest of Bowland both within six miles
  • An 11-hole seaview golf course, woodland walks and fishing in the Lune
Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

Lune fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: The toilet/shower block facilities were excellent. Very clean and very well appointed.

Disliked: Due to recent weather the site was pretty waterlogged. Grassy areas needed mowing but I guess this isn’t possible just yet. Think this site would be very nice in the summer months.

Lune fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Fantastic amenity block, good, clean, facilities, Wildlife within an hour two Deer came though the site spending time grazing, chasing each other, we were the only people on site, early season wet weather ECT, although the grass areas were sodden, the hardcore Drive and pitches was fine, easy access to the cycle path from the top of the site, barrier secure entry, peaceful site cafe, pub close by. The site it's self is fairly basic away from the amenities block but it suited us for what we needed no hassle at all good communication with remote staff, will use again

Disliked: There was nothing of issue with the site for us,

Lune fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Beautiful site. Loved the walks, with the dog, straight off the site. Didn't use our vehicle for the 4 days we were there. The garden centre, the woods behind and the excellent access to River Lune, we were spoilt for choice. The heated toilet & shower block was exceptional. Owner was very pleasant. Will definitely be returning.
