Directions

Get directions

If you are driving you will need to take the B5289, south from Keswick, along the shores of Derwent Water for approx 3.5 miles. Take the right turn over the double humpback bridge into the village of Grange. After 200m turn left immediately after the second cafe (sign posted Hollows Farm - Camping). Follow this road for 1/2 mile to a junction and take the left branch to the site.

As you drive down the track to the site the first camping field (where the camp warden has a caravan) is on the left. Continue driving past this along the track and you will see the bell tent situated on the right hand side in the second field. There is a car parking area 50m past the tents on your right. You can access the bell tent and field from the car park by walking across the bridge and through the field.

Cancellation policy

If for whatever reason the bell tent cannot be made available for the period booked due to events beyond the owner's control and the owner is forced to cancel the booking, the whole of the hire charge will be refunded and the hirer will have no further claim against the owners (minus the payment made to Pitchup.com).

Where possible the owners will try to make alternate arrangements for the hirer's stay, but any subsequent assistance given to find alternative accommodation will be entirely at the owner's discretion.

Please note that, once a booking has been confirmed, the hirer is liable for the whole cost of the holiday. Cancellation and curtailment protection insurance is, therefore, advised. (It is currently possible to take insurance for a family of 4 for about £14 to cover cancellation.)

However, in the event of a cancellation, we will endeavour to re-let the bell tents, and if successful, we will refund the amount recouped, less the deposit. Furthermore we will also try to offer a rearrangement for another time.

Accordingly, it is important that cancellations are notified to us by telephone and immediately confirmed in writing.

Please note that your deposit paid to Pitchup.com is non-refundable.

Payment of balance

Any balance payable must be made no later than four weeks prior to the start of the holiday to guarantee the booking. If you are booking within four weeks of the start of your holiday, payment is required in full.

We contact you for the balance of payment by email four weeks before your stay (or sooner if your booking is within four weeks) and this is payable by BACS or card. The £100 returnable damage deposit is also due at this time.
