Located in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park, Pound Farm is a carefully designed and beautifully situated holiday hamlet.

The rural setting makes the most of the stunning views the area has to offer. It is understandable why Alfred Wainwright was so inspired by Bowness on Windermere. You will find Pound Farm Park nestling quietly in the Lake District National Park just outside Windermere and Kendal. This is a perfect location to access the lakes but also offers a rural setting just outside the bustling towns.

The park is superbly designed with local slate walls on either side of our main access road, bordering our elegant lodges as you look down the park.

It is ideally situated for you to enjoy all the Lake District has to offer whether it is sightseeing, walking cycling, climbing, sailing or just relaxing away from it all.

The park is peaceful with abundant local wildlife and if you are lucky you may meet our near-tame robins and pheasants.

We are easy to access, just 15 minutes from the J36 off the M6.

Although a rural setting, we are just 400m from the Sun Inn at Crook which offers excellent meals and ales.

Liked: Lovely, quiet and clean site. Owners were friendly and helpful, will visit there again.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike accept the local pub, polishing tables and tutting & blowing at 10:30 on a Saturday night

Liked: Pods where clean and very private, hosts were very welcoming and helpful
Heater kept the chill off during the nights and extra plug socket was useful for watching DVDs on the laptop/using an electric kettle if you don't have a stove one. plenty of room in Pod to stand up and walk around much better then staying in a tent, Short drive from lake Windamere and Kendal for buying bits and bobs

Disliked: Bit of a trek to the toilet/shower block but new ones are currently being built closer to the pitches and pods which should be spot on

Liked: A really lovely little site not far from Windermere and only 400m walk from an amazing pub.
The camping pod is in a private location in the corner of the site. Inside there is a heater, 2 wall lights and an extra plug to charge a phone/Nintendo.
Plenty of room for my family of 5 (2adults& 15yo-9yo-5yo)

Disliked: Bit of a trek to showers/toilets but owners have plans to build a brand new block and update the site ready for the next season.
