Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: - Quiet - Easy to find - owner seemed nice on the phone - shower and washing water was very hot!
Disliked: - Beer cans and other trash laying about the site - Metal on the barn roof was rattling in the wind all night (kept us awake most the night) - facility’s were rather worn down and grubby

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Nice site, lots of room in pitch , everything there that is needed. We had a good 2 night stay. It was our second stay , first being 2 years ago , nice to see things improving and the fields not getting as muddy too
Disliked: It was a little bit loud on a night time with alot of chat and messing round but everyone was having fun , toilet could do with a mop or something just for the rain.

Liked: Campsite facilities supplied for functionality, not beauty. No elsan disposal point, which is fine as long as you know to take green organic fluid instead of blue. Husband said one of the men's showers was glitchy (turned hot-cold-hot-cold), but the other was fine. The ladies shower I used was fine. Nice location below a hill, friendly owner. Out in the countryside. The facilities got muddy on wet days, but were cleaned every day. Sometimes, twice, I think. There was always soap in the dispenser and there was only one occasion when the loo roll ran out. It was quickly replenished. Basic, but fine.
Disliked: Campsite owner's bonfire bothered me until 12 hours later when I got fed up and poured water on it. He agreed not to add more to the bonfire until after we'd gone. He said he didn't expect that one to burn for so long. Think it was just a mistake, but obviously it happens sometimes.

Liked: The location is just perfect!!! 15 minutes to crummock water, buttermere 20 mins, scafell 40 mins & with Keswick and whinlatter not far either we had so much to do
Disliked: The site was clear we had to call on arrival and we had great trouble reaching the site owner to let them know we had arrived. After a 4 hour drive we were apprehensive as to what to do, in the end we found a pitch ourselves and pitched up, 3 hours later our call was returned (we couldn’t leave a voicemail as the inbox was full, perhaps not the first time this has happened) Also the farm cats came into our tent and would go through our things and on our bed whilst we were sleeping!! They sneak in through your closed tent, thankfully our dogs were in a crate.
