Low Wray National Trust campsite is a fantastic location to be...nestled on the shores of the lake between Hawshead and Ambleside, you are never far away from something to do. That said it is also lovely just to relax in one of our gypsy caravans in the woods and let the world go by.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the Pitchup.com terms and conditions.

The terms and conditions below should not come between you and your enjoyable holiday but it is important that you are aware of our policies regarding certain situations. So as to avoid any ambiguity it is important that there is a clear contract for cancellation, damage and exceptional circumstances.

** Your accommodation will be available from 4pm on the first day of your holiday. Accommodation should be left clean by 10am on the last day of your holiday. Keys should be placed in the box as described in the welcome email.

** When making balance payment, please be aware we take a £100 ‘securities deposit’ that is refundable but can also be used to replace any breakages or damage due to negligence.

** When you make a booking and pay your deposit an email confirming the dates and times of your holiday is sent to you. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract.

** If you have to cancel your holiday for any unforseen circumstance we will endavour to fill your time slot and refund your balance payment, if however this isn’t possible you will receive 50% of the balance payment of the holiday – unless canceling within 48 hours in which case we can’t be expected to fill this slot

** If we have to cancel your holiday we will refund your money in full. Reasons that might constitute us to cancel your holiday might be Natural disasters, terrorist acts or any other unforeseen emergency. Wild in Style cannot accept liability or responsibility for any inconvienience caused by cancellation.

** As part of your welcome letter you will be sent a inventory list if on your arrival you find any items or fittings, utensils, crockery or cutlery is broken, damaged or missing, please report it to Alex or Don. We accept a degree of wear and tear but you will be held responsible for any major breakage or damage that occurs.

** The yurts should not be structurally altered in any way, if you feel something needs to be changed or altered please contact Alex and Don as before.

** If you have small children it is your responsibility to make sure they wear a nappy or have an appropriate cover on the beds – if any accidents are found then we will have to recover the cost of cleaning from the ‘securities deposit’ mentioned above.

** Neither wild in style or Low Wray Campsite can accept responsibility for injury to persons or children whilst walking around the site. We advise suitable clothing and footware and care should be taken on uneven ground. Also as you are on the shores of Lake Windermere, care should also be taken around the waters edge, and children should not be left unsupervised.

** As our yurts are in an oak woodland there is always a danger that a limb of a tree might fall. Wild in Style does not accept any responsibilty for this.

** We accept and enforce the rules of Low Wray campsite all there rules are by association ours, please see also see their terms and conditions

** As there are woodburners in the yurts and barbecues outside, you are expected to use these responsibly and Wild in Style can accept no responsibilty for any damage – personal or otherwise that might be caused by their misuse.

** Wild in Style provides a basket full of wood and all gas needed for your booked stay, if extra wood is needed you will need to buy this elsewhere.

** Low Wray Campsite is responsible for toilets, showers and washing facilities on site.

** Yurts are locked by combination locks which must be left in the yurt on departure. If we need to replace this there will be a charge of £20.

** Wild in Style cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property. We provide a combination padlock but you are advised to bring your own.

** There is a strict ‘no smoking’ policy in all yurts and if smoking outside of the yurts, you are responsible for disposing of your cigarette butts responsibly.

** Fires are restricted strictly to the wood burning stoves the bbq outside the yurts. Fires are not allowed to be made on the ground. Remember fires are hot and will burn – never leave small children unattended with fires. There are fire guards and should be used to keep children away. This is not fool proof and is only a deterent. Accidents relating to burns because of improper use / or the failure of the fire guard to protect: Wild in Style cannot be held responsible.

** We do not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18.

** We reserve the right to change our prices either up or down as necessary.
