Riverside Caravan and Camping Park is a small, friendly site in a lovely position on the side of the River Ouse.

A 5 minute walk will bring you to Bishopthorpe - a favourite destination for travellers and race-goers as it has been for centuries. Although the village has grown in recent years, its character is still strong, and the old Main Street, with its Post Office, three pubs, Co-op and cottages, has hardly changed at all. Bishopthorpe is home to the grand Archbishop’s palace, which can be seen from our banks.

We welcome Touring Caravans, Trailer Tents, Motor Homes and Tents. All of our pitches have electric hook-up.

We are a peaceful, family oriented site and as such pets are welcome. Shops are available nearby for groceries, milk, eggs, newspapers etc.

*NEW FOR 2012* we have introduced the Happy Camper to our site. This retro airstream caravan café offers campers excellent coffee and Yorvale icecream, as well as handmade hot and cold sandwiches and a variety of pastries, cakes and drinks.

Our excellent facilities on level ground include:
* On-site Airstream café.
* Flush toilets (new in 2011)
* Free showers (new in 2011)
* Calor/camping gas
* Children's play area
* Washing up facilities
* Shaver points
* Boat slipway
* Electric hook ups
* Ice pack freezing
* Free hot water to washbasins
* Chemical toilet disposal
* Laundry facilities
* Fishing
