Liked: the shower block is a bit sparce and dark but it was a pure luxury to have wonderful HOT showers and HOT water to do the dishes too! Very friendly staff, knowledgeable about the area, helpful too.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Breathtaking views from the campsite-easy access via road to whitby and Robin Hoods Bay and also via the Cinder Path walk.
it is also home to an outdoor offroad driving experience.

Disliked: A bit windy!
Pathway/road to campsite could do with a bit of tarmac as VERY bone and teeth chatteringly bumpy!

Liked: the view from the campsite was beautiful. it was lovely to wake up to the sun rising. the weather was perfect for our first weekend away camping. Although there were only 4 showers we didn't have to wait long before we could use them some times no queues at all but we did tend to shower early. The water was always hot and there was hot water and sinks available to clean pots etc ...

Disliked: The shower block could be updated and their should be more bins to dispose the rubbish in. Although we didn't take any young children a small play area for young ones would be nice and i might be tempted to bring my 2 year old grand daughter camping, start them off young :-)

Liked: The view is to die for from the site, on a clear day/night. Good facilities 4 wet rooms inc. toilet, basin, and shower in each. but could do with more during busy times. Quiet campsite with friendly owners who take pride in their site. not really for young children. no play area so own amusement a must!. 4 miles from Whitby and 17 miles from Scarborough. Take from this what you like, but the ...

Disliked: The access in is a little tight, first road to first farm is tarmac, after that its concrete slabs feels like rumble strips on the motorway. but the owners plan to improve the road to bayness farm but don't let it put you off.
top field is a bit open to the elements and if windy, your tent can take a battering if the wind is coming off the land, next time i will ...

My wife and I stayed at this site for site for a short break. We found it lovely and quiet as off the "beaten track" with clean facilities, good value and with friendly owners who were happy to explain local walks, pub, taxis and points of interest.

Liked: lovely views, peace and quiet, plenty of local walks, being away from the main road, lots of beautiful sun sets and sun rises for my keen photographer wife to enjoy. Good, basic, clean showers and toilets, well sign posted elsan point, easy access to drinking water taps across the site and friendly owners who take pride in their site.

Disliked: none
