Nice and quiet at night. Lovely countryside and very good walks. Mark M. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Quiet position, nice scenery, Open spaces Disliked: Toilet and showers, in need of updating and cleanliness not always good. When I arrived I was told that I still had to pay the balance, even though I had rung up a week earlier and paid by card. |

Lovely site, very convient for travelling in the local area. Cheryl_H (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: I loved the open spaces of the campsite, very friendly staff, always helpful when needed. Easy to find the campsite and I would take my family again, just a pity if was so cold every night. Disliked: The toilets and showers could do with cleaning more often, even though it was bank holiday weekend they always ran out of toilet paper. |

Conveniently located, lots of space between pitches, clean and tidy David T. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: On a short stay just before August Bank Holiday large camping field to rear only had a few campers so lots of space to find a quiet pitch. Quiet at night in absence of any large groups. Didn't have to queue for unisex shower/sink/basin combos, and seemed to be plenty of hot water Disliked: Not much really on a short stay. |

Lovely site. Perfect location Candyce H. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: The location as it was right near the route to Gisburn forest was perfect for us. Nice friendly and helpful staff. Everything you need for a weekend getaway! Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views from the campsite as well. Disliked: The big spiders in the toilet/showers! But that's the outdoors for ya! |

Liked: Was a very good site, well maintained with nice staff - Toilets/showers cleaned daily and were adequate with lots of hot water. Disliked: Nothing the site/staff could do about it, but the weather. Good old britain, rain on a bank holiday. Could benefit from some kids play equipment though, however, lots of room for them to run around in. |

Liked: staff were really helpful especially when my dog was ill. Disliked: the main field was very wet at one end and i got my vehicle stuck but i don't think alot could be done about this as i think the unusually high amount of rain we have had and continue to have this summer the problem is everywhere! |

Unfortunately the weather had been totally against us this summer - what summer! We can only cut the grass when it is dry and we have just not been able to get onto it to cut nearly as often as we would have liked. Our camp fields have historically been very well drained but they have just not been able to cope of late - sorry!
