Located in a quiet little unheard of corner the Yorkshire Dales, the Black Swan provides an ideal location to explore the Yorkshire Dales. We are situated in the picturesque village of Fearby just two miles from Masham, easily accessible from the A1 (8 miles). The park is ideally located, providing you with the base to enjoy the wonders of dales life and its attractions.

Black Swan offers a quality caravan and camping park, rated four stars by VisitBritain, and has its own 17th century public house offering a warm traditional Yorkshire and views of the Vale of York and local moors. The bar is well stocked with local and guest ales, and home-cooked bar meals are served at lunchtime and our bistro is open every evening.

Nearby attractions and activities

Black Swan is an ideal spot for exploring the Yorkshire Dales with plenty of pleasant walks nearby, from gentle riverside strolls to more demanding excursions into the surrounding moorland. Many of the paths on Ordnance Survey maps are accessible but are not well trodden - you will have to rely on your navigation skills at times. We have designed two local walks starting and finishing at the Black Swan, one of which takes you to 'The Druids Temple', a 19th Century folly. We have copies available for you at our pub.

The Black Swan is two miles from the peaceful market town of Masham with gracious Georgian aspects around a generous market place. Masham visitors will enjoy browsing in the town's shops, workshops and galleries, and visiting places such as the two breweries, ancient church and Masham's rich architectural environment warm welcome awaits you whether you come to Masham for a day or for longer.

Further afield, the cities of Whity and York are within an hour's drive and there are many attractions such as Eden Camp, Beamish Museum and the Yorkshire Air Museum to enjoy.

Liked: Got a really nice discount on the camping fees which made the march camping gamble worth it. The site was lovely and the staff were all very friendly plenty of room on site. The food vouchers were really good too and the food was amazing some of the best I've ever had.

Disliked: I don't have any complaints about this site, we had awful weather but the stay was still very enjoyable.
