Now these are views…head here with the camera for scenes right up any camper’s and caravanner’s street: Street Head Caravan Park in the Yorkshire Dales National Park is in an area famous for its scenery and unspoilt countryside, surrounded by grazing countryside with dale views across to the fells beyond.
Roll up in your tourer or motorhome or pitch your tent here to take in the local walks and wildlife – you can walk up and down dale and over moorland from the campsite – or use Street Head as a base for exploring the wider Yorkshire Dales, the north-east and north-west coasts and the loveliness of the Lake District. Pitches come with a choice of electric hook-up and the park has a coin launderette, 20p coin showers and loos and a separate washing-up area with free boiling hot water.
Street Head Caravan Park is in the Valley of Bishopdale and has five pubs and restaurants within a few miles: the nearest, the seventeenth century Street Head Inn, is very handily placed next door to the park offices for meals and sampling the local brews. The village of Thoralby is half a mile’s amble away and has a general store, post office and traditional pub and there’s a lively pub, a shop and a butcher at West Burton about a mile and a half away.
Bookings not accepted for large single-sex groups or groups of young adults.
