If you’re a delicate flower, there’s no need to wither in the sea when you fancy a swim - go for a toasty float in this park’s smart indoor pool instead.
Withernsea Sands Holiday Park is a lively Park Resorts group site on the Yorkshire Coast, with great facilities for families, including a children’s splash pool alongside the main pool, kids’ clubs, organised sports activities both in the pool and on dry land, and a pub restaurant and takeaway. In peak season, there’s also an evening programme of rip-roaring entertainment and dancing (the vibe is quieter at other times).

The Blue Flag beach at Withernsea is only a five-minute walk from the park, and offers miles of clean golden sands. Withernsea itself is a small and friendly resort with a lovely prom, open air theatre and a rare inland lighthouse, which now houses a museum. To the south of the town is Spurn Point, a nature reserve where visitors can spot seals, migrating birds and many unusual plants on the long, narrow spit of shingle.
There’s more to see and do around and about: a massive nuclear bunker to explore at RAF Holmpton, a 500-year old Napoleonic fort at Fort Paull, and thrills and spills aplenty at the nearby Pleasure Island Theme Park. Shopaholics should also make time to hornpipe down to Hornsea, where they’ll dance with glee at the bargains to be had in the designer outlet village.

better than we'd expected from the reviews! :) rachelbaker1975 (Family with young children, 2 reviews, 0 photos)
Liked: very family-friendly, the childrens entertainment was great, perfect for our 4-year-old daughter. the entertainments team work so hard and are always smiley and great with the kids no matter what time of the day or night! Disliked: uneven pitch, only a small quibble really, ours was actually quite flat but i imagine some others might make the sleeping quarters of your tent a bit uncomfortable! |

Loved it, but watch out for thieves. jasondack3 (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: The site layout, everything close together. Disliked: The thief that pinched my wife's phone out of the car within 30 mins of being on the park, while putting our tent up (watch out for your items) is this due to the security just talking to there mates at reception all night and not doing there job?? Even though we knew how had it they said there was nothing they could do. |

Not the place to go for a peacefull break . michael j. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Good pitches . Easy walking distance to the sea front and town. Cleaner tried to keep the toilets and showers clean and stocked. Disliked: Far too many adolescents & teenagers shouting through the night and unsupervised children n their scooters in the road.Club house and swimming pool too small for size of site. not enough toilets and showers. stocks of toilet roll and hand towels seemed to be used up very quickly due to children wasting them. Hot water in the dish washing area was very hit and miss. |

We enjoyed our few days away here. jean m. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: the clean toilets, the site was clean and the grass kept short-mower out and about every day. Disliked: the noise of the external doors to the toilets-they banged shut all the time and we were right next to them-sounded like a football being kicked against a wall-not pleasant. |

A Good midweek camping break awhitham (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Just had a great midweek break camping at Withernsea Sands. We had an electric pitch (BlueBell 4) which was good. Security was helpful as at one point someone else pitched their tent about 1 FOOT from ours and they were told to move! The entertainment was good (we have kids 4 and 7) and the entertainment staff should be congratulated on their enthusiasm. The swimming pool was small but good and clean. The park shop ... Disliked: To Improve: The BlueBell toilets / shower block should be cleaned and restocked more than once a day. There is no excuse for the state they are in by morning. |

friendly staff in the shop, good bar food, clean showers and a good sized pitch for tent. heather (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: we had a good sized pitch not to bumpy, very friendly staff in the shop, site kept very clean and the shower block was cleaned every morning. The bar food was very tasty (childrens portions a little small) Recycling facilities very good only 2 washing up sinks but never had to wait for these Disliked: the noise at night after the club house closed, lack of site wardens, to many teenage kids wondering around late at night. Entertainment for the children was aimed a tiny tots nothing for the 10+ welcome pack had very little imformation in it, lack of toilet paper due to there being no alternative hand towels. |
