The smart facilities - built very recently - include an indoor pool with jacuzzi, all-weather sports centre, and a spacious bar and restaurant. Since it’s part of the Park Resorts group, Crimdon Dene Holiday Park offers a good range of daytime activities, children’s clubs, and so forth, and in high season, there’s also plenty of evening action in the form of live music and shows (at other times, you’ll find a more toned-down entertainment schedule).

Ramble or ride along the coastal path to get the best views of the ruggedly dramatic Durham Heritage Coast, or head inland to explore ancient woodlands such as Castle Eden Dene, a 550-acre nature reserve with more than 450 types of flora, and 12 miles of footpaths.
In nearby Hartlepool, guests can tour HMS Trincomalee, the oldest warship still afloat in the UK, along with lots of other interesting stuff at the Maritime Experience on the historic quayside.
Other popular attractions include the Tweddle Children’s Animal Farm, which is on the doorstep, or the fascinating living history museum at Beamish, a little further afield. Liked: good facilities ,not crowded ,not to noisy ,gorgeous beach , the dene walk is lovely,clean tidy parkhartlepool marina is really cool.. Disliked: not the parks fault but really rude children.no help from warden at all . |

Directions
From the A19 just south of Peterlee, take the B1281 turning signed to Blackhall, and drive through Castle Eden, turning left after about ½ mile signed towards Blackhall. After approx three miles turn right at the T-junction onto the A1086, towards Crimdon. After about one mile the park entrance is signposted on the left, beside the Seagull public house.
Permitted arrival time
From 12pm. Pitches should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure
Cancellation policy
It may be necessary to cancel your holiday due to illness, accident or change of circumstances. As soon as you know you need to cancel, call our administration team using the number in your confirmation.
Cancellation charges are calculated as follows from the date of cancellation:
7 days or less 100% of holiday cost
8-28 days 90% of holiday cost
29-42 days 50% of holiday cost
43-55 days 30% of holiday cost
Please note that your deposit paid to Pitchup.com is non-refundable.
Payment of balance
Park Resorts' friendly booking team will contact you to take the balance for your holiday by credit/debit card once you have paid your deposit to Pitchup.com.
