At Greenlay Pastures find a little piece of the English countryside and escape for a while. We can be found four miles from the beautiful market town of Woodbridge which sits on the River Deben Estuary.
The campsite is located on a working farm in the pretty village of Bredfield. The village has a shop selling local produce and a pub which holds weekly music nights. There is also a playing field with tennis courts for hire and a children's play area. All are within a few minutes' walk of the campsite.
The farm provides grazing for sheep and cattle. For many years we were a small organic dairy farm which with its pasture and mature hedgerows provided a haven for plants, birds and animals. Traditions of husbandry have been maintained in recent years so that the essence and beauty of the farm remains. This year we are pleased to find patches of wild orchids again on the meadow next to the campsite.
At Greenlay Pastures we have only three grass pitches on the one-acre campsite. The small number of pitches and the beauty of the surrounding pastures provides a chance to relax and escape for a while.
There is a toilet and washroom on site and a separate electric shower. The water tap is located outside the washroom.
At Greenlay Pastures the experience is more akin to wild camping: turning up and setting up camp in a meadow close to nature and wildlife. If you prefer wild camping but with some home comforts then we could be the place for you.
