Deepdale Camping is a quiet, family friendly, North Norfolk Coast campsite for tents and small campervans. Five well kept paddocks in the heart of the beautiful village of Burnham Deepdale, offering the perfect base to discover the North Norfolk Coast all year round. An ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’*, famous for it’s nature and bird reserves, walking, cycling, watersports and history.
If you are looking for a party campsite, then this isn't the campsite for you.
We have a strict noise policy in the late evenings to keep the relaxed atmosphere for both our customers and the adjacent houses.
Deepdale Camping is open all year for tents (Standard pitches tents no larger than 6.5m with guy ropes, Jumbo pitches are for larger tents up to 10 meters) and small campervans – sorry no caravans. At the moment we don't offer electrical hookups or allow generators.
The campsite offers modern toilet, shower and washing up facilities. Like the rest of the site these are eco friendly being heated by solar panels, with a backup oil boiler.
Advanced bookings for the period between 26th July & the end of August must be made for a minimum of 7 nights.
We recommend you book ahead for all weekend stays and peak periods.
Sorry, but we cannot guarantee specific pitch numbers, for camping or campervans, as we may have to rearrange to accommodate other bookings.
Quiet, vaccinated dogs are welcome on the campsite, but must be kept on a short lead.
We are currently landscaping the campsite, by planting a huge number of trees and hedges next to pitches and to divide the paddocks better. Some of the new hedges are now establishing well and further landscaping will be taking place.
This North Norfolk Coast campsite is not suitable for large groups.
Jumbo Pitches
Due to popular demand we now have 10 new Jumbo pitches at the top of our Glebes. These pitches are for tents up to 10m and up to 2 cars (minimum of 4 people). The pitches will fit an 8-10 man tent, or 2 smaller tents or campervans. If you are bringing a boat or trailer we would also recommend a Jumbo pitch to give yourselves room.
Standard Pitches
Deepdale Standard pitches fit a standard size 6 man tent and 1 car. These pitches are for tents up to 6.5m with guy ropes. These pitches are what have been in place at Deepdale for many years and have proved popular with couples and families alike.

One of the best sites I have stayed in! lisaEvans (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Good-sized pitches that are very well organised, parking next to your tent that makes life very easy. Very clean facilities - I saw staff members there at six in the morning and then at least every hour thereafter! Disliked: Why do some people feel it is a requirement to bring two cars to carry themselves and their tent? |

Not impressed campers1 (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Location. Would have been a more relaxing break in mid week. Disliked: Pitches were far too close together, not enough facilities for numbers of people. No playgrounds for children. Advertised as a cool, relaxing camping experience but is much more catered for the mass family market. |

Well run, popular site in great location for beaches and coast walks JR (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Location - coastal path just across from the site, plus a great cafe and a shop next door. Disliked: Showers ran out of hot water on Sunday morning. Limited number of showers for size of site. Had to book two nights over weekend when could only stay one night. |

Coasthopper Bus Service
The Coasthopper Bus Service stops at Deepdale and is a brilliant service, running approximately every 1/2 an hour during the Summer and every hour during the Winter. The service runs both East and West along the North Norfolk Coast, stopping in most villages including King's Lynn, Hunstanton, Burnham Market, Blakeney, Sheringham and Cromer. More information on the service can be found at www.coasthopper.co.uk
Trains
The nearest train station is King's Lynn, which has direct trains from Cambridge and London King's Cross. By changing at Ely and Cambridge you can also catch trains from Stansted Airport, Peterborough and further afield. There is also a station at Sheringham, which has trains to Norwich. The Coasthopper bus service connects with trains at both King's Lynn and Sheringham. Although there are occasional restrictions, you can normally bring your bike on the train.
National Coaches
The nearest national coach station is King's Lynn, which has direct national coaches from Cambridge, Peterborough and London Victoria. The Coasthopper bus service connects with trains at both King's Lynn and Sheringham. If you are cyclist, then trains are the best option, as you can only put folding bikes on national coaches.
Norfolk Coast Path
The Norfolk Coast Path heads both East and West along the North Norfolk Coast and can be accessed down the lane opposite Dalegate Market. The path offers wonderful walking along sea walls, across boardwalks and beaches. You can link up with the Coasthopper at many points along the path. More information on the path can be found at www.nationaltrail.co.uk/peddarsway

Cycling
Most of the A149 coast road is ok to cycle and there are lots of quiet country lanes inland. From the East (Burnham Market direction), the easiest route is over Whiteway Road. From the West (Docking & King's Lynn direction), the easiest route is down Dalegate Lane. National Cycle Route No1 passes a couple of miles inland. Remember you can hire bikes from Deepdale Bike Hire.
Driving
Naturally we'd encourage you to visit by bus, walking or cycling, but car drivers are very welcome too. We offer free car parking and next door at Dalegate Market is one of the few fuel stations (petrol and diesel) along the coast. We're approximately half way between Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea on A149 coast road.
