We are a family-run pub in Warwickshire with a large beer garden and breeding pigs! Camping is available on a well drained grass field.

The site is informal and relaxed, and children and dogs are welcome.

Facilities are basic - water only on field (no chemical disposal point), with pub toilets open 24 hours.

Live music is on offer on Friday nights and there's plenty to see and do locally.

Liked: leaving to go home

Disliked: pretty much everything !!! the website offered onsite fishing (which was the whole point of going there) when we asked where it was we were told there is no fishing on site there is the canal next to the pub but you cant fish there as the local marina have the fishing rights and dont let people fish there.when the owners returned we asked them about the problems we had they were not helpful the ...

We clearly state that we do not have chemical waste disposal on our site- we are a biological site and Blue Elsan would kill the treatment plant off- any grey water can be disposed of in our normal toilets which are open 24 hours per day.
There is plenty of fishing nearby but not on site- as we advertise.
We recycle our equipment and sometimes have to wait for collection.
We are a very small site with limited facilities which we try to ensure potential customers are aware of before they arrive.
We are also very friendly and try to please- however we can't win them all! Sorry you were disappointed!

Pleasant canalside location, friendly staff, good food in the pub

Liked: I camped with a friend at The Wharf Inn for one night over the early May bank holiday weekend. Many sites seem to require a minimum stay of 2 or 3 nights on bank holidays. This was not the case at The Wharf Inn, which I was really pleased about as I was only free to go away for one night. There were no issues with both of us being male.

The staff, who run ...

Disliked: In the short time I was there, there's nothing I could fault about The Wharf Inn and I'd definitely return. All I'd add is that, given the rural location, there's not a lot to find within the immediate vicinity other than the opportunity to enjoy a stroll or bike ride in the countryside, but it's no problem if you have a car. The on-site facilities certainly provide all the essentials ...

Liked: Dog-friendly, good food and friendly owners. Good location for Leamington, Warwick & Banbury - and telly in the toilet! Live music Fridays.

Disliked: Not much not to like, though some might bemoan the lack of showers.

Liked: the location of the public house on site.
The landlord and staff were friendly and helpful
On the edge of the Oxford Canal

Disliked: The traffic noise
the lack of a chemical waste unit, and shower facilities.

Unfortunately we are out in the sticks and as such have our own biological treatment plant for sewerage. Any introduction of chemicals would have a catastrophic effect on the treatment plant and potentially the local watercourse.

We are considering installing a septic tank for chemical toilets, but there would have to be a charge.

We try to make all of this clear before you arrive, glad you liked us at least!

Liked: The pub was fabtastic. easy to get to
our pitch for a trailer tent was big enough and we where allowed a free awning and the electric hook up is good. The canal is next to the pub garden.

Disliked: the flies and pigs smell.
noise of traffic ,planes and trains of a night.

Glad you enjoyed your stay- can't do much about the trains and planes- they are fairly infrequent though!
Sorry you did not like the pigs- we love them and think the occasional waft is a small price to pay for having a couple of families of pigs on site- especially with the piglets born on 4/8/12!
Please request opposite pitch next time:))
