Glamping Thorpe
FavouriteWhy not come and and enjoy a romantic break in either our beautifully hand-crafted gypsy wagon or traditional shepherd's hut? We are situated on a pretty Georgian farm on the Northamptonshire/north Oxfordshire boarder and provide the ideal hideaway and rural retreat taking you back in time for a truly relaxing and unique place to stay.
An old horse box has been converted into a rather quirky shower room, which includes a toilet and basin, which gives washing a whole new experience!
For a small extra charge, a full English breakfast (including a choice of freshly laid duck or chicken eggs) is available for delivery to your hut/wagon at a time of your choice.
Fires and BBQs are very welcome but if you prefer, you can also enjoy a short 10 minute stroll across the fields to our local pub, The Three Conies, which provides delicious home-cooked food everyday.

Chilled-out weekend away gina (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: We stayed two nights in the Horsebox in May. We took our puppy with us too who thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to run through the fields! We brought a little BBQ with us, lit the Chiminea and took in the beautiful surroundings! It was a different but wonderful weekend! We also had a few drinks down at the local pub. The landlord was welcoming and the food was great! The owners of the site were ... Disliked: The toilet was...interesting. Had never used a compost toilet before but better than nothing I suppose! I guess it added to the overall experience!! |

Fantastic Stay. Lovely people loulou_bsja (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Everything! Such a lovely place, with fab people. We stayed in the Shepherds hut and found it warm comftable and spacious. We had a lovely fire two nights and spent two great nights in the local pub across the field. We couldnt have wished for a more relaxing holiday! Loved the little shower room, with an very warm shower, and very rustic feel. Disliked: The only thing I disliked was the amount of wet grass that came into the hut, maybe a little mat to wipe your feet on at the door would be great! |
