A small, friendly campsite with good amenities in the hamlet of Byards Leap, The Beeches has eight electrical hook-up pitches on a level, grassy and well-drained site, with beautiful views over the Lincolnshire farmland.

Facilities include a children’s play area and disabled toilet.

There are several good dog walks along the ancient Roman road. The site offers an excellent location for people who are interested in visiting this part of the historic county of Lincolnshire or a good stopover en route to Norfolk or the east coast.

The site is centrally located between the historic city of Lincoln and the market towns of Sleaford, Newark and Grantham. The site is next to the Byards Leap Cafe, excellent for breakfasts and lunches, and a short drive from some great pubs and restaurants. It is a great base for walking in the beautiful and historic countryside of Lincolnshire or for relaxed cycling on quiet roads and bridleways linking the beautiful villages in the area.

The Beeches is on the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Trail, and within easy reach of RAF Cranwell Heritage Centre, the Newark Air Museum and the Newark Showground.

Get directions

The site is located off the B6403 Ancaster to Cranwell Road just before the junction with the A17 Newark to Sleaford road. The entrance to the site is to the right of the Old School.

From the A17, turn onto the B6403 to Ancaster. After 30m turn right. The entrance to the site is to the right of The Old School.

Follow the signs to Richwood and the Family cafe.
