We feel here at Barn Farm that we have excellent facilities throughout our site. Overlooking Derwent Valley, we are a haven for wildlife including Badgers and rare Black Fallow Deer. There are also over 60 species of birds such as Nuthatch, Dippers and Peregrine Falcons. Most of our shower blocks have individual showers and our main shower block is open 24 hours a day. We have facilities for laundry and drying. Our games room is very popular with a pool table, arcade games and tv with freeview channels. Also in the games room is a fridge and freezer for campers use. If you want to relax after a long walk we also have a sauna which is free for campers to use! We also have an on-site shop stocking camping and caravanning essentials including those forgotten items from home! We have peacocks and chickens wandering around the site and we have 6 alpacas located in one of our fields. We do allow dogs as long as they are kept on a lead and looked after by their owners at all times. We also have 5 camping barns which sleep between 2-15 people available for you to book for a minimum of 2 nights.

Bakewell the home of the famous Bakewell Pudding is only a short drive away.
Gullivers Kingdom based in Matlock Bath is a 15 minute drive away, very popular with young children.
The Heights of Abraham cable car, caverns and hilltop park are based in Matlock Bath which is a 15 minute drive.
Steam trains run by Peak Rail travel from Matlock to Rowsley and is only a 10 minute drive away.
Peak Village outlet centre is only 10 minutes drive away based in Rowsley.

Fantastic location in the heart of the beautiful countryside Jammer (Family with young children, 2 reviews, 0 photos)
Liked: Staff were friendly and clearly keen to keep the site clean and safe. The village is less than a five-minute walk with a well-stocked shop and two pubs serving meals. Fantastic views from every part of the site except one smaller field which was still lovely with high trees and hedges surrounding it. Lots of animals in nearby farms added to the charm. Plenty of walking paths leading right from the site. Disliked: Noisy people at night, and the occasional smell of dog poo wafting by despite the staff's clear efforts to keep the site clean. |

Please do not, under any circumstances, try and approach the campsite via Stanton Lees in any large vehicle. The road is very steep and narrow and is most unsuitable. Please use the B5056 as above.
