Nice quiet campsite with beautiful surroundings. Very close to Alton Towers. Katie G. (Family with older children, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: When we stayed-Common End Farm was not very busy so we almost had the site to ourselves which was very much appreciated as the week before we had stayed at "Crealy Meadows" in Devon which was very loud & hectic. This suited our needs as we were spending two days at Alton Towers which is approx 6 miles away. The site itself was clean & tidy with showers, hot & cold water, hairdryers & freezer all provided within the ... Disliked: This is not so much of a dislike but would like to mention that if you have young children there is not much to do on site. There is nothing in the way of climbing frames or play areas but this suited us as we only wanted to rest our heads after a hectic day at Alton Towers. |

We stayed for the August Bank Holiday in a tent and although there were quite a few others on site there was plenty of room to pitch up and it was lovely and peaceful. Charlotte H. (Young couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: It was lovely and quiet and there was plenty of space on the field for tents. The views of were also amazing. As advised by the farm do take a good light as it gets very dark at night. There are a lot of things to do in the surroundings areas but all are a good drive away. Disliked: As it rained most of our stay the only problem with the field was that it became very muddy and some cars struggled driving on the field. |

Liked: Showers and toilet block was always clean, despite muddy rainy weather, good location close to Ashbourne Disliked: Drivin back to tent was a bit treacherous at night, bollards at side of road, and no illumination. Only two showers in ladies, had to queue for a shower. |

Chilled and friendly farm. soniaburns5 (Young couple, 1 review, 2 photos)
Liked: We were looking for a quiet, relaxing site with beautiful surroudings and we certainly found it here. Disliked: We used a sat nav to find the site coming from Ashbourne, and the sat nav got a bit confused and told us to turn left, however Common End Farm is actually on the right from this direction. When you arrive drive up the lane and past the holiday cottages. |

Great site. No frills but lovely and clean Gary (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Location is beautiful. Facilities are really clean and the pitch was a good size (As explained to us by a very experienced camping couple). Disliked: As I am required to enter something here. The only very slight negative was the traffic sound from A52. After 1 hour I became used to it and it was not a problem. |
