Also the fact that you can pitch up early in the morning and there is no hurry to leave the pitch on the day you go. It’s not too far to drive to Hunstanton for the day. We’ve stayed here before and every time we come the owner has tried to improve things. This time there was a changing area newly built next to the swimming pool.

The food and drinks are such a reasonable price and food is exceptional. All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Our second time here and we will be back for sure!

Pool was warm and great for the kids.

Owner (I assume) small ish guy that signs you in.. was blunt to us all as soon as we got there and throughout, never felt welcome or got a smile. And he had no manners when talking to our large party.
Toilets had no soap for a whole day.

My child spent hours playing in the swimming pool, heated and well enclosed so they did not get cold. Fantastic play area, well kept showers and toilet block. The staff we're friendly and more than happy to help. The food was delicious and well priced, the pizzas in particular were to die for.
We had such a wonderful time stayed an extra night and we have already booked our next stay with them.No em va agradar: –

Toilets and showers were cleaned frequently but as expected some people just does not respect others work and don’t care about there behaviour.
As always there must be a family or two who does not care about the noise they make and rows in the tent at midnight.
As expNo em va agradar: I don’t mind paying for shower, I think it’s a cost effective way of encouraging people to have a quick shower and save water. However, the coin machine should be located a little bit closer to the shower itself so you don’t have to get out soaking wet outside of the shower to put more coins in as this make a mess on the floor and then it all looks muddy and unpleasant.
If you like to have a internet during camping, unfortunately there is barely 3G on the field. Wi-Fi is available but strong enough to use only next to the pub.

Best thing was the kids pay ground with rubber matting down but was peeling up on joins causing a trip hazard.

"Part of your meal is still in the microwave, al go get it".Low wattage on electric pitches, which tripped alot when site was busy.
No chlorine in the pool and pool area not clean.
Only 4 showers for the whole site which were not clean and had to pay extra to use them.
No signs that we could see stating cctv was in operation but spotted a few cameras.
The disables toilet had a step to get into it, no disables access shower.
Thank you for your comment regarding the rubber matting, due to the warm weather over the last few weeks it had caused the edges to start to curl up. We will take a look at this.
For the area we are in you will be pushed to find another site that offers a free to use swimming pool and all the amenities for the same price. But if you wanting high end with modern facilities I think a glamping site at 3 or 4 times the cost might be more up your street. We are a family friendly traditional camping site and we do not advertise as being modern or high end.
We advertise that pitches are limited to 10amps on pitchup, so you should have been aware of this when you booked. 10amps is the average across most campsites now. You can use camping heaters or camping kettles. But using high powered items at the same time will trip electric. Also large powered items made for the home and not camping specific items may trip the electric as these are created for 240v not for camping. Each pitch is on a separate fuse, so if it tripped a lot on your box it was whatever high powered item you were connecting that was causing the electric to trip.
The chlorine levels are checked and added to the pool each morning before the pub is opened so I am not sure on what basis you are saying there is no chlorine in the pool.
It is stated on Pitchup under the terms and conditions for the site that shower are 20p per minute so you also should have been aware of this when you booked.
The shower and toilet blocks are checked and clean regularly throughout the day. It is unfortunate that we cannot stand and monitor them 24 hours of the day and if other guests do not keep the area tidy after using it this can affect the next guests to use the showers or toilets.
There is CCTV in operating signs on the gate entrance to the campsite and on the pub. It is not practicable to have signs in the middle of the field with nowhere to adequately and safely display them so they are displayed on the entrances and on the pub.
We do not advertise as having an accessible shower at the moment but this is something we are working towards implementing.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you stay did not meet expectations. We believe it was Mark who checked you in, as our owner is not a small guy and is the chef so is in the kitchen. We apologise for the rude behaviour he showed to you party and we will be speaking to him about it. We are a public house not a private holiday club therefore there will be locals in the pub. We had quite a few locals in over the weekend due to the FA cup final. We apologise if you felt the environment was standoffish as our intention is to be friendly.
